The priest replied,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the valley of Elah, is wrapped in a garment behind the ephod. If you wish, take it for yourself. Other than that, there’s nothing here.” David said,“ There’s nothing like it! Give it to me!”

祭司答道：“你在以拉谷杀的非利士人歌利亚的刀在这里，用布包着放在以弗得后面。如果你要就拿去吧，这里没有别的刀了。”大卫答道：“这刀再好不过了，把它给我吧。”

祭司回答：“有一把刀，是你从前在以拉谷击杀的那非利士人歌利亚的刀。这刀用布包着，放在以弗得后面，你若是要拿去自用，就拿去吧，因为这里除了这刀以外，再没有别的武器了。”大卫说：“没有比这更好的刀了，请你给我吧！”

祭司回答：“你在以拉溪谷击杀的那非利士人歌利亚的刀，看哪，用布蒙着，放在以弗得后面。如果你要拿走它，就拿走吧；除此以外，这里没有别的。”大卫说：“没有比它更好的了，把它给我吧！”

祭司說：「你在以拉谷殺非利士人歌利亞的那刀在這裏，裹在布中，放在以弗得後邊，你要就可以拿去；除此以外，再沒有別的。」大衛說：「這刀沒有可比的！求你給我。」

祭司說：「你在以拉谷所殺的非利士人歌利亞的那刀，看哪，裹在布中，放在以弗得後邊。你若要可以拿去，除此以外，再沒有別的了。」大衛說：「沒有甚麼可以跟它比的了！請你給我。」

祭司說：「你在以拉谷所殺的非利士人歌利亞的那刀，看哪，裹在布中，放在以弗得後邊。你若要可以拿去，除此以外，再沒有別的了。」大衛說：「沒有甚麼可以跟它比的了！請你給我。」

祭司答道：「你在以拉谷殺的非利士人歌利亞的刀在這裡，用布包著放在以弗得後面。如果你要就拿去吧，這裡沒有別的刀了。」大衛答道：「這刀再好不過了，把它給我吧。」

祭司說：『有非利士人歌利亞、就是你在以拉谷所擊殺的、他的刀在這裏呢，用布裹着，在「神諭像」後邊；你若要拿，只管拿去；因為除此以外、在這裏就沒有別的。』大衛說：『這刀沒有一把能比得上的；你給我吧。』

The priest replied,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here; it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want it, take it; there is no sword here but that one.” David said,“ There is none like it; give it to me.”

The priest replied,“ The sword of Goliath, the Philistine, is here. You killed him in the Valley of Elah. His sword is wrapped in a cloth. It’s behind the sacred linen apron. If you want it, take it. It’s the only sword here.” David said,“ There isn’t any sword like it. Give it to me.”

And the priest said,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you struck down in the Valley of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it, for there is none but that here.” And David said,“ There is none like that; give it to me.”

“ I only have the sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah,” the priest replied.“ It is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. Take that if you want it, for there is nothing else here.”“ There is nothing like it!” David replied.“ Give it to me!”

The priest replied,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want to take it for yourself, then take it, for there isn’t another one here.”“ There’s none like it!” David said.“ Give it to me.”

Then the priest said,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, behold, it is wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod; if you would take it for yourself, take it. For there is no other except it here.” And David said,“ There is none like it; give it to me.”

So the priest said,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, there it is, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you will take that, take it. For there is no other except that one here.” And David said,“ There is none like it; give it to me.”

And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the vale of Elah, behold, it is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take it; for there is no other save that here. And David said, There is none like that; give it me.

The priest replied,“ The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the Valley of Elah, is here, wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you want to take it for yourself, then take it, for there isn’t another one here.”“ There’s none like it!” David said.“ Give it to me.”

And the priest said, The sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom thou slewest in the valley of Elah, behold, it[ is here] wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod: if thou wilt take that, take[ it]: for[ there is] no other save that here. And David said,[ There is] none like that; give it me.

The priest said,“ Behold, the sword of Goliath the Philistine, whom you killed in the valley of Elah, is here wrapped in a cloth behind the ephod. If you would like to take that, take it; for there is no other except that here.” David said,“ There is none like that. Give it to me.”

Saul and the Israelite army assembled and camped in the valley of Elah, where they arranged their battle lines to fight against the Philistines.

They placed Saul’s armor in the temple of the Ashtoreths and hung his corpse on the city wall of Beth Shan.

“ They are to make the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, the work of an artistic designer.It is to have two shoulder pieces attached to two of its corners, so it can be joined together.The artistically woven waistband of the ephod that is on it is to be like it, of one piece with the ephod, of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen.“ You are to take two onyx stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of Israel,six of their names on one stone, and the six remaining names on the second stone, according to the order of their birth.You are to engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel with the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a seal; you are to have them set in gold filigree settings.You are to put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod, stones of memorial for the sons of Israel, and Aaron will bear their names before the LORD on his two shoulders for a memorial.You are to make filigree settings of goldand two braided chains of pure gold, like a cord, and attach the chains to the settings.

David prevailed over the Philistine with just the sling and the stone. He struck down the Philistine and killed him. David did not even have a sword in his hand.David ran and stood over the Philistine. He grabbed Goliath’s sword, drew it from its sheath, killed him, and cut off his head with it. When the Philistines saw their champion was dead, they ran away.Then the men of Israel and Judah charged forward, shouting a battle cry. They chased the Philistines to the valley and to the very gates of Ekron. The Philistine corpses lay fallen along the Shaaraim road to Gath and Ekron.When the Israelites returned from their hot pursuit of the Philistines, they looted their camp.David took the head of the Philistine and brought it to Jerusalem, and he put Goliath’s weapons in his tent.
