我父親若有意要加害於你，而我若不向你披露、使你平平安安地走開，願永恆主這樣懲罰我，並且加倍地懲罰。願永恆主和你同在，如同從前和我父親同在一樣。

我父亲若有意害你，我不告诉你使你平平安安地走，愿耶和华重重地降罚与我。愿耶和华与你同在，如同从前与我父亲同在一样。

假如我父亲有意要害你，我若是不告诉你，不让你走，不使你平平安安地离去，愿耶和华加倍惩罚我。愿耶和华与你同在，好像从前与我父亲同在一样。

則願耶和華罰我。如父欲害爾、我必告爾、使爾安然以去、願耶和華祐爾、如祐我父焉。

如我父欲加害於爾、亦必告爾、使爾安然而去、若不然、願主從重罰我、惟願主祐爾、如昔祐我父然、

But if my father intends to harm you, may the Lord deal with Jonathan, be it ever so severely, if I do not let you know and send you away in peace. May the Lord be with you as he has been with my father.

But suppose he wants to harm you. And I don’t let you know about it. Suppose I don’t help you get away in peace. Then may the Lord punish me greatly. May he be with you, just as he has been with my father.

But should it please my father to do you harm, the Lord do so to Jonathan and more also if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. May the Lord be with you, as he has been with my father.

But if he is angry and wants you killed, may the Lord strike me and even kill me if I don’t warn you so you can escape and live. May the Lord be with you as he used to be with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may the LORD punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may leave safely. May the LORD be with you, just as he was with my father.

If it pleases my father to do you harm, may the Lord do so to me and more so, if I fail to inform you and send you away, so that you may go in safety. And may the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

may the Lord do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father to do you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

Jehovah do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do thee evil, if I disclose it not unto thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and Jehovah be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may God punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may go in peace. May the Lord be with you, just as He was with my father.

The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father[ to do] thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

But if my father intends to do you harm, may the LORD do all this and more to Jonathan, if I don’t let you know and send word to you so you can go safely on your way. May the LORD be with you, as he was with my father.

Yahweh do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do you evil, if I don’t disclose it to you, and send you away, that you may go in peace. May Yahweh be with you, as he has been with my father.

大衛又吩咐以色列眾首領幫助他兒子所羅門，說：

不過呢、願永恆主賜給你見識和明達，使他所委任你管理以色列的、你都謹守永恆主你的上帝的律法。

儘你一生的日子、必沒有一人能在你面前站立得住；我怎樣和摩西同在，也必怎樣和你同在；我必不放開你，不丟棄你。

大衛說：『那援救我脫離獅子的爪和熊爪的永恆主、他也必援救我脫離這個非利士人的手。』掃羅對大衛說：『你去吧；永恆主必和你同在。』

你在哪裏死，我也在哪裏死，也埋葬在哪裏；除了死以外，若有甚麼使你我相分離，願永恆主這樣懲罰我，並且加倍地懲罰。』

以利說：『他對你說的是甚麼事？你不要向我隱瞞；你若將他對你說的一切話向我隱瞞了一句，願上帝這樣懲罰你，並且加倍地懲罰。』

掃羅懼怕大衛，因為永恆主和大衛同在，卻離開了掃羅。

但我仍不使我堅固的愛離開他、像我使我的堅愛離開掃羅一樣：掃羅是我使他離開你面前的那位。

這些兆頭一臨到你，你手遇見甚麼，就可以作甚麼，因為上帝與你同在。

教訓他們遵守我所吩咐你們的一切事；看吧，一切日子、我都和你們同在，直到今世的完結。』

掃羅取得了管理以色列的王權，常常對四圍一切的仇敵作戰，去攻打摩押、亞捫人、以東，瑣巴諸王、以及非利士人；他無論走向哪裏，全都得勝。

你們也要對亞瑪撒說：「你不是我的骨肉麼？我若不立你代替約押常在我面前做軍長，願永恆主這樣嚴厲地待我，並且加倍地嚴厲。」』

掃羅聽見這些話，就被上帝的靈大大感動，怒氣大發。將一對牛切成塊子，由使者經手送遍以色列四境，說：『凡不出來跟從掃羅和撒母耳的，也必這樣待他的牛。』於是眾民都起了懼怕永恆主的心，大家就都出來、如同一人。掃羅在比色點閱他們；以色列人有三十萬，猶大人有三萬。他對來的使者說：『你們要這樣對基列雅比人說：「明天太陽正熱的時候、你們必得拯救。」』使者們去告訴雅比人，雅比人都很歡喜。於是雅比人對拿轄說：『明天我們出來歸順你們；你們看怎麼好、就怎麼待我們吧。』第二天掃羅把人民分為三隊，在晨更時候進了亞捫人營中，擊敗他們直到太陽正熱的時候；剩下的人都潰散，沒有剩下二人同在一處的。人民對撒母耳說：『那說「掃羅哪能作王管理我們？」的是誰？將這些人交出來，我們好處死他們。』掃羅說：『今天一個人也不可被處死，因為今天永恆主在以色列中施行了拯救。』

還在白日時候、眾民都來勸大衛喫飯；大衛起誓說：『我若在日頭未落以前喫飯、或喫任何東西，願上帝這樣懲罰我，並且加重地懲罰。』

耶洗別就差遣使者去見以利亞說：『明天大約這時候、我若不使你的性命像那些人的性命一樣，願神明這樣懲罰我，並且加倍地懲罰。』

凡屬拿八所有的男丁、我若剩下一個到明早、而不殺死，願上帝這樣懲罰大衛，並且加倍地懲罰。』

便哈達又差遣人來見亞哈說：『撒瑪利亞的塵土若夠跟從我的人每人捧一捧的，願神明這樣懲罰我，並且加倍地懲罰。』

你們在我身上所學習所領受、所聽見所看到的、你們都要習行；賜平安的上帝就必與你們同在。
