如果我父親有意要加害你，而我不告訴你，不送你平安地離開，就願耶和華處置約拿單，重重地處置！願耶和華與你同在，像他曾與我父親同在那樣。

我父若欲害爾、我不示爾、使爾安然而去、則願耶和華罰約拿單維倍、惟願耶和華偕爾、如昔偕我父然、

則願耶和華罰我。如父欲害爾、我必告爾、使爾安然以去、願耶和華祐爾、如祐我父焉。

如我父欲加害於爾、亦必告爾、使爾安然而去、若不然、願主從重罰我、惟願主祐爾、如昔祐我父然、

But if my father intends to harm you, may the Lord deal with Jonathan, be it ever so severely, if I do not let you know and send you away in peace. May the Lord be with you as he has been with my father.

But suppose he wants to harm you. And I don’t let you know about it. Suppose I don’t help you get away in peace. Then may the Lord punish me greatly. May he be with you, just as he has been with my father.

But should it please my father to do you harm, the Lord do so to Jonathan and more also if I do not disclose it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. May the Lord be with you, as he has been with my father.

But if he is angry and wants you killed, may the Lord strike me and even kill me if I don’t warn you so you can escape and live. May the Lord be with you as he used to be with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may the LORD punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may leave safely. May the LORD be with you, just as he was with my father.

If it pleases my father to do you harm, may the Lord do so to me and more so, if I fail to inform you and send you away, so that you may go in safety. And may the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

may the Lord do so and much more to Jonathan. But if it pleases my father to do you evil, then I will report it to you and send you away, that you may go in safety. And the Lord be with you as He has been with my father.

Jehovah do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do thee evil, if I disclose it not unto thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and Jehovah be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

If my father intends to bring evil on you, may God punish Jonathan and do so severely if I do not tell you and send you away so you may go in peace. May the Lord be with you, just as He was with my father.

The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father[ to do] thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou mayest go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father.

But if my father intends to do you harm, may the LORD do all this and more to Jonathan, if I don’t let you know and send word to you so you can go safely on your way. May the LORD be with you, as he was with my father.

Yahweh do so to Jonathan, and more also, should it please my father to do you evil, if I don’t disclose it to you, and send you away, that you may go in peace. May Yahweh be with you, as he has been with my father.

大衛又說：「從獅子爪和熊掌解救我的耶和華，他必解救我脫離這非利士人的手。」於是掃羅對大衛說：「你去吧，願耶和華與你同在！」

你死在哪裡，我也死在哪裡、葬在哪裡。除了死以外，如果有什麼使你我分離，就願耶和華處置我，重重地處置我！」

以利說：「耶和華對你說了什麼事呢？不要向我隱瞞。如果你向我隱瞞其中任何他對你說的話，就願神處置你，重重地處置你！」

掃羅懼怕大衛，因為耶和華與大衛同在，卻離開了掃羅。

我的慈愛卻不會離開他，像離開在你面前所廢除的掃羅那樣。

這些徵兆臨到你的時候，你手所當做的，只管去做，因為神與你同在。

凡我所吩咐你們的，都教導他們遵守。看哪，我就天天都與你們同在，直到這世代的終結。」

掃羅得了以色列的王位，攻打四圍一切仇敵，攻打摩押人、亞捫人、以東人、瑣巴的眾王和非利士人，凡他所到之處盡都征服。

也要對亞瑪撒說：『你不是我的骨肉之親嗎？我如果不立你在我面前作元帥，終身替代約押，就願神處置我，重重地處置我！』」

掃羅聽了這些話，神的靈就臨到他，他就大發烈怒。他牽來一對牛，把牠們切成塊，藉著使者們的手送到以色列全境，說：「凡是不出來跟隨掃羅和撒母耳的，他的牛也必被這樣對待！」於是民眾都懼怕耶和華，他們就出來，如同一人。掃羅在貝澤克數點他們，有以色列人三十萬，猶大人三萬。他們對那些前來的使者說：「你們要對基列-雅比人如此說：『明天太陽最熱的時候，你們必得拯救。』」使者們就回去，告訴了雅比人，他們就歡喜。於是雅比人回覆亞捫人：「明天我們出來歸順你們，你們看怎樣好，就怎樣對待我們吧。」第二天，掃羅把民眾分成三隊，在晨更的時候進入亞捫人的營地，擊殺他們，直到白天最熱的時候；殘留的人都四散，甚至他們中間沒有兩人留在一起。民眾對撒母耳說：「那些說『掃羅怎麼能統治我們』的人是誰呢？把那些人交出來，我們要把他們殺掉。」但掃羅說：「今天不可殺人，因為今天耶和華在以色列施行了拯救。」

人們在白天的時候都來勸大衛吃點東西，但大衛起誓說：「如果我在日落之前吃了餅或其他任何東西，就願神處置我，重重地處置我！」

如果我留下屬於這人的任何一個男丁到早晨，就願神處置大衛，重重地處置！」

凡是你們在我身上所學到的、所領受的、所聽到的、所看到的，這些事你們就當實行。這樣，賜平安的神就會與你們同在。
