Then Jonathan said to David,“ I swear by the Lord, the God of Israel, that I will surely sound out my father by this time the day after tomorrow! If he is favorably disposed toward you, will I not send you word and let you know?

约拿单对大卫说：“愿耶和华—以色列的神作证。明日约在这时候，或第三日，我一探出我父亲的心意，看哪，若对大卫是好意，我怎么会不派人来告诉你呢？

约拿单对大卫说：“愿以色列的上帝耶和华作证，明天或后天这个时侯我就会打探到我父亲的意思，如果他善意待你，我会派人通知你。

约拿单对大卫说：“愿耶和华以色列的神作证，明天或后天约在这个时候，我探出了我父亲的意思，如果他对你有好感，那时我会不派人来告诉你吗？

约拿单对大卫说：“愿耶和华以色列的神作证：明后天大约这个时候，我会探探我父亲，看哪，如果对大卫是善意，我就一定派人到你这里告诉你。

約拿單對大衛說：「願耶和華－以色列的神為證。明日約在這時候，或第三日，我探我父親的意思，若向你有好意，我豈不打發人告訴你嗎？

約拿單對大衛說：「願以色列的上帝耶和華作證，明天或後天這個時侯我就會打探到我父親的意思，如果他善意待你，我會派人通知你。

約拿單對大衛說：“願耶和華以色列的神作證，明天或後天約在這個時候，我探出了我父親的意思，如果他對你有好感，那時我會不派人來告訴你嗎？

約拿單對大衛說：『願永恆主以色列的上帝作證。明天大約這時候，就是第三天，我窺察我父親的意思；若見他對你有好意，那時、我還有不打發人來找你、向你披露的麼？

約拿單對大衛說：「願耶和華以色列的神作證：明後天大約這個時候，我會探探我父親，看哪，如果對大衛是善意，我就一定派人到你這裡告訴你。

約拿單謂大衛曰、願以色列之上帝耶和華為證、明日此時、或至三日、我窺我父於爾、若有善意、豈不遣人示爾乎、

約拿單謂大闢曰、以色列之上帝耶和華為證、明日此時、或至後日、我問於父、若知爾沾恩而不以告、

約拿單謂大衛曰、主以色列之天主為證、明日此時、或後日、我窺我父、若知其向爾爾原文作大衛有善意、我必遣人告爾、

Then Jonathan spoke to David. He said,“ I promise you that I’ll find out what my father is planning to do. I’ll find out by this time the day after tomorrow. The Lord, the God of Israel, is my witness. Suppose my father has kind feelings toward you. Then I’ll send you a message and let you know.

And Jonathan said to David,“ The Lord, the God of Israel, be witness! When I have sounded out my father, about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if he is well disposed toward David, shall I not then send and disclose it to you?

Then Jonathan told David,“ I promise by the Lord, the God of Israel, that by this time tomorrow, or the next day at the latest, I will talk to my father and let you know at once how he feels about you. If he speaks favorably about you, I will let you know.

“ By the LORD, the God of Israel, I will sound out my father by this time tomorrow or the next day. If I find out that he is favorable toward you, will I not send for you and tell you?

Then Jonathan said to David,“ The Lord, the God of Israel, is my witness! When I have sounded out my father about this time tomorrow or the third day, behold, if he has a good feeling toward you, shall I not then send word to you and inform you?

Then Jonathan said to David:“ The Lord God of Israel is witness! When I have sounded out my father sometime tomorrow, or the third day, and indeed there is good toward David, and I do not send to you and tell you,

And Jonathan said unto David, Jehovah, the God of Israel, be witness: when I have sounded my father about this time to- morrow, or the third day, behold, if there be good toward David, shall I not then send unto thee, and disclose it unto thee?

“ By the Lord, the God of Israel, I will sound out my father by this time tomorrow or the next day. If I find out that he is favorable toward you, will I not send for you and tell you?

And Jonathan said unto David, O LORD God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about tomorrow any time,[ or] the third[ day], and, behold,[ if there be] good toward David, and I then send not unto thee, and shew it thee;

Jonathan said to David,“ The LORD God of Israel is my witness. I will feel out my father about this time the day after tomorrow. If he is favorably inclined toward David, will I not then send word to you and let you know?

Jonathan said to David,“ By Yahweh, the God of Israel, when I have sounded my father about this time tomorrow, or the third day, behold, if there is good toward David, won’t I then send to you, and disclose it to you?

You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.

“ The Mighty One, God, the Lord! The Mighty One, God, the Lord! He knows! And let Israel know! If this has been in rebellion or disobedience to the Lord, do not spare us this day.

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so the hearts of kings are unsearchable.

Does he not see my ways and count my every step?

The purposes of a person’s heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.

Though you probe my heart, though you examine me at night and test me, you will find that I have planned no evil; my mouth has not transgressed.
