Then David fled from Naioth at Ramah and went to Jonathan and asked,“ What have I done? What is my crime? How have I wronged your father, that he is trying to kill me?”

David was in Naioth at Ramah. He ran away from there to where Jonathan was. He asked him,“ What have I done? What crime have I committed? I haven’t done anything to harm your father. So why is he trying to kill me?”

Then David fled from Naioth in Ramah and came and said before Jonathan,“ What have I done? What is my guilt? And what is my sin before your father, that he seeks my life?”

David now fled from Naioth in Ramah and found Jonathan.“ What have I done?” he exclaimed.“ What is my crime? How have I offended your father that he is so determined to kill me?”

惟主救敬虔之人、免於患難、而留不義者、待鞫日受刑、

或告掃羅、大闢往拉馬之拿約。掃羅遣人執大闢、使者見眾先知、為撒母耳所治理、俱感神而言、乃亦為上帝之神所感而言。或告掃羅、又遣使者、亦感神而言、三遣皆若是。掃羅親往拉馬、至西古大井、問撒母耳大闢安在。或曰、在拉馬之拿約。掃羅既至、亦為上帝之神所感、且行且言、迨至拉馬之拿約。乃解衣裸裎、永晝永夕、仆於撒母耳前、感神而言、後有諺曰、掃羅豈在先知中乎。

視吾義而賞賚兮、見我潔而報施兮。予恪守其道兮、弗敢作惡、違我上帝兮、予恆遵其典兮、日不忘其禮儀兮、我立其前兮、德無不備、兢兢自守、勿敢失墜兮、所以視我義而賞賚、見我潔而報施兮、

耶和華不我遐棄、致為人吞噬、當頌讚靡已兮。余若禽鳥、將罹網羅、惟羅見破、而予得脫兮、耶和華創造天地、拯救我躬兮。

我非恃人智、恃上帝恩、以上帝所賦之丹心誠意、往來於世、在爾間為尤甚、此我所喜、心所證也、

我之上帝耶和華兮、曷敢維惡是作、彼夫夙昔交厚兮、待之薄、無因仇我兮、報之酷、吾而有是兮、

謂大闢曰、我待爾以惡、爾報我以德、爾與我較尤義。

爾乃吾君父、第斷爾裾、今執於手以為證、我不加殺害、俾爾知我不犯上、初無不善。然爾遍索我、欲喪我命。

何嘗奪人之牛驢、何嘗虐取人、挾制人、受人之賄賂以蔽我明、有一於此、我即償之。我在此於耶和華前、及受膏者前、彼得為證。

大闢曰、人言我欲加害於爾、曷聽之哉。

掃羅行於山左、大闢與從者行於山右、大闢畏懼、逋逃甚速、掃羅率眾環攻、將欲執之。有使忽至、告掃羅曰、非利士人侵伐我國、請爾速返。掃羅乃舍大闢、轉攻非利士人、故名其處曰、抹利割磐。
