“ He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness. No one will succeed by strength alone.

敬虔者為耶和華所範衛、無義者歸於幽暗而不動、蓋恃己力、無能得勝。

敬主虔誠人、主護其步履、使惡人亡於幽暗、蓋恃己力不能獲勝、

He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness.“ It is not by strength that one prevails;

He guards the paths of his faithful servants. But evil people will lie silent in their dark graves.“ People don’t win just because they are strong.

“ He will guard the feet of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall be cut off in darkness, for not by might shall a man prevail.

He guards the steps of his faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness, for a person does not prevail by his own strength.

He watches over the feet of His godly ones, But the wicked ones are silenced in darkness; For not by might shall a person prevail.

He will guard the feet of His saints, But the wicked shall be silent in darkness.“ For by strength no man shall prevail.

He will keep the feet of his holy ones; But the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail.

He guards the steps of His faithful ones, but the wicked perish in darkness, for a man does not prevail by his own strength.

He watches over his holy ones, but the wicked are made speechless in the darkness, for it is not by one’s own strength that one prevails.

He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness; for no man will prevail by strength.

The best equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory— for all its strength, it cannot save you.

For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.They will hold you up with their hands so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone.

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.

But many Israelites— those for whom the Kingdom was prepared— will be thrown into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see.

You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.

For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die.

You will know that your home is safe. When you survey your possessions, nothing will be missing.

I cried out,“ I am slipping!” but your unfailing love, O Lord, supported me.

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

Then he said to me,“ This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

It will be a day when the Lord’s anger is poured out— a day of terrible distress and anguish, a day of ruin and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness,

Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground.So David triumphed over the Philistine with only a sling and a stone, for he had no sword.

Indeed, he loves his people; all his holy ones are in his hands. They follow in his steps and accept his teaching.

Throughout their lives, they live under a cloud— frustrated, discouraged, and angry.

We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.

This is what the Lord says:“ Don’t let the wise boast in their wisdom, or the powerful boast in their power, or the rich boast in their riches.

‘ Friend,’ he asked,‘ how is it that you are here without wedding clothes?’ But the man had no reply.Then the king said to his aides,‘ Bind his hands and feet and throw him into the outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

They are like wild waves of the sea, churning up the foam of their shameful deeds. They are like wandering stars, doomed forever to blackest darkness.

The Lord himself watches over you! The Lord stands beside you as your protective shade.

I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.

This letter is from Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who have been called by God the Father, who loves you and keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ.

The Lord keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Dear friends, I had been eagerly planning to write to you about the salvation we all share. But now I find that I must write about something else, urging you to defend the faith that God has entrusted once for all time to his holy people.

Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.

And so at last the poor have hope, and the snapping jaws of the wicked are shut.

These people are as useless as dried up springs or as mist blown away by the wind. They are doomed to blackest darkness.

“ Then the people will say,‘ Why should we wait here to die? Come, let’s go to the fortified towns and die there. For the Lord our God has decreed our destruction and has given us a cup of poison to drink because we sinned against the Lord.

for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.

He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him.
