他使不能生育的婦人安居家中，成了有許多兒女的快樂母親。你們要讚美耶和華。

那生過七個子女的母親衰竭疲弱，幾乎氣絕；還在白晝，她的太陽已經西落，她必慚愧蒙羞。我必使他們餘剩的人在敵人面前死於刀下。”這是耶和華的宣告。

不能生育、沒有生養過孩子的啊！你要歡呼。沒有生產過的啊！你要發聲歡呼，高聲呼喊。因為棄婦比有夫之婦有更多兒子。這是耶和華說的。

讓飢餓的得飽美食，使富足的空手回去。

因為耶和華使哈拿不能懷孕，她的對頭就盡力刺激她，使她苦惱。

因為經上記著說：“不能生育、沒有生養的啊，你要歡欣！沒有受過生產痛苦的啊，你要呼喊，大聲呼叫！因為棄婦比有夫之婦有更多兒子。”

她就懷孕；時候到了，就生了一個兒子，哈拿給他起名叫撒母耳，因為她說：“他是我從耶和華那裡求來的。”

少壯獅子有時還缺食挨餓，但尋求耶和華的，甚麼好處都不缺。

亞伯拉罕說：‘孩子，你應該回想你生前享過福，同樣拉撒路受過苦，現在他在這裡得安慰，你卻要受苦了。
