他使不能生育的妇人安居家中，成了有许多儿女的快乐母亲。你们要赞美耶和华。

那生过七个子女的母亲衰竭疲弱，几乎气绝；还在白昼，她的太阳已经西落，她必惭愧蒙羞。我必使他们余剩的人在敌人面前死于刀下。”这是耶和华的宣告。

不能生育、没有生养过孩子的啊！你要欢呼。没有生产过的啊！你要发声欢呼，高声呼喊。因为弃妇比有夫之妇有更多儿子。这是耶和华说的。

让饥饿的得饱美食，使富足的空手回去。

因为耶和华使哈拿不能怀孕，她的对头就尽力刺激她，使她苦恼。

因为经上记着说：“不能生育、没有生养的啊，你要欢欣！没有受过生产痛苦的啊，你要呼喊，大声呼叫！因为弃妇比有夫之妇有更多儿子。”

她就怀孕；时候到了，就生了一个儿子，哈拿给他起名叫撒母耳，因为她说：“他是我从耶和华那里求来的。”

少壮狮子有时还缺食挨饿，但寻求耶和华的，什么好处都不缺。

亚伯拉罕说：‘孩子，你应该回想你生前享过福，同样拉撒路受过苦，现在他在这里得安慰，你却要受苦了。
