祂賜給不育的婦人兒女，使她們成為快樂的母親。你們要讚美耶和華！

生過七個孩子的母親心力枯竭，奄奄一息。她羞愧難當，她的希望突然破滅，猶如白晝突然變成黑夜。我必使其餘的人喪身在敵人刀下。這是耶和華說的。」

耶和華說：「不生育、未生養的婦人啊，要歡唱；未曾生產的女子啊，要高歌、歡呼；因為沒有丈夫的比有丈夫的兒女更多。

祂使饑餓的得飽足，叫富足的空手而去。

毗尼娜見她不能生育，便常常羞辱她、氣她。

因為聖經上說：「不生育、未生養的婦人啊，要快樂；未曾生產的女子啊，要高聲歡呼，因為沒有丈夫的比有丈夫的兒女更多。」

使她懷孕。她後來生了一個兒子，給孩子取名叫撒母耳，因為她說：「他是我向耶和華求來的。」

壯獅也會忍饑挨餓，但尋求耶和華的人什麼福分都不缺。

「亞伯拉罕說，『孩子啊！你要想想，你生前享福，而拉撒路受苦；如今他在這裡得到安慰，而你受折磨。
