Then I will raise up for myself a faithful priest. He will do what is in my heart and soul. I will build for him a secure dynasty and he will serve my chosen one for all time.

「我將為自己興起一位忠實的祭司，他會照著我的心、我的靈行事；我將為他建造一個持久的家室，他必終生行在我受膏者的面前。

我將挺生忠藎之祭司、彼將循我心意而行、我必鞏固其家、彼必恆久行於我受膏者前、

我必挺生忠藎之祭司、彼循我心意而行、我必克昌厥後、使恆從我受膏者。

我將為己立一忠心之祭司、彼必循我心意而行、我為彼建立鞏固之家、必將永行於我所立受膏者前、

I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his priestly house, and they will minister before my anointed one always.

I will raise up for myself a faithful priest. He will do what my heart and mind want him to do. I will make his family line of priests very secure. They will always serve as priests to my anointed king.

And I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who shall do according to what is in my heart and in my mind. And I will build him a sure house, and he shall go in and out before my anointed forever.

“ Then I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire. I will establish his family, and they will be priests to my anointed kings forever.

“‘ Then I will raise up a faithful priest for myself. He will do whatever is in my heart and mind. I will establish a lasting dynasty for him, and he will walk before my anointed one for all time.

But I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and My soul; and I will build him an enduring house, and he will walk before My anointed always.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest,[ that] shall do according to[ that] which[ is] in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

for you, O LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have told your servant,‘ I will build you a dynastic house.’ That is why your servant has had the courage to pray this prayer to you.

and during the time when I appointed judges to lead my people Israel. Instead, I will give you relief from all your enemies. The LORD declares to you that he himself will build a dynastic house for you.

Please forgive the sin of your servant, for the LORD will certainly establish the house of my lord, because my lord fights the battles of the LORD. May no evil be found in you all your days!

You must obey all I command you to do, follow my instructions, do what I approve, and keep my rules and commandments, like my servant David did. Then I will be with you and establish for you a lasting dynasty, as I did for David; I will give you Israel.

He gives his chosen king magnificent victories; he is faithful to his chosen ruler, to David and his descendants forever.”

The king appointed Benaiah son of Jehoiada to take his place at the head of the army, and the king appointed Zadok the priest to take Abiathar’s place.

Then Zadok the priest and Nathan the prophet anointed him king in Gihon. They went up from there rejoicing, and the city is in an uproar. That is the sound you hear.

But Zadok the priest, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, Nathan the prophet, Shimei, Rei, and David’s elite warriors did not ally themselves with Adonijah.

I will set one shepherd over them, and he will feed them– namely, my servant David. He will feed them and will be their shepherd.

For it is indeed fitting for us to have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.He has no need to do every day what those priests do, to offer sacrifices first for their own sins and then for the sins of the people, since he did this in offering himself once for all.For the law appoints as high priests men subject to weakness, but the word of solemn affirmation that came after the law appoints a son made perfect forever.

The kings of the earth form a united front; the rulers collaborate against the LORD and his anointed king.

Ahitub was the father of Zadok, and Zadok was the father of Ahimaaz.Ahimaaz was the father of Azariah, and Azariah was the father of Johanan.Johanan was the father of Azariah, who served as a priest in the temple Solomon built in Jerusalem.Azariah was the father of Amariah, and Amariah was the father of Ahitub.Ahitub was the father of Zadok, and Zadok was the father of Shallum.Shallum was the father of Hilkiah, and Hilkiah was the father of Azariah.Azariah was the father of Seraiah, and Seraiah was the father of Jehozadak.Jehozadak went into exile when the LORD sent the people of Judah and Jerusalem into exile by the hand of Nebuchadnezzar.

“‘ But the Levitical priests, the descendants of Zadok who kept the charge of my sanctuary when the people of Israel went astray from me, will approach me to minister to me; they will stand before me to offer me the fat and the blood, declares the sovereign LORD.They will enter my sanctuary, and approach my table to minister to me; they will keep my charge.

They held a feast before the LORD that day and celebrated. Then they designated Solomon, David’s son, as king a second time; before the LORD they anointed him as ruler and Zadok as priest.

So Samuel took the horn full of olive oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers. The Spirit of the LORD rushed upon David from that day onward. Then Samuel got up and went to Ramah.

Here I am. Bring a charge against me before the LORD and before his chosen king. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I wronged? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I taken a bribe so that I would overlook something? Tell me, and I will return it to you!”

So it will be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of a permanent priesthood, because he has been zealous for his God, and has made atonement for the Israelites.’”

And because the midwives feared God, he made households for them.
