“‘ Then I will raise up a faithful priest for myself. He will do whatever is in my heart and mind. I will establish a lasting dynasty for him, and he will walk before my anointed one for all time.

我將挺生忠藎之祭司、彼將循我心意而行、我必鞏固其家、彼必恆久行於我受膏者前、

我必挺生忠藎之祭司、彼循我心意而行、我必克昌厥後、使恆從我受膏者。

我將為己立一忠心之祭司、彼必循我心意而行、我為彼建立鞏固之家、必將永行於我所立受膏者前、

I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who will do according to what is in my heart and mind. I will firmly establish his priestly house, and they will minister before my anointed one always.

I will raise up for myself a faithful priest. He will do what my heart and mind want him to do. I will make his family line of priests very secure. They will always serve as priests to my anointed king.

And I will raise up for myself a faithful priest, who shall do according to what is in my heart and in my mind. And I will build him a sure house, and he shall go in and out before my anointed forever.

“ Then I will raise up a faithful priest who will serve me and do what I desire. I will establish his family, and they will be priests to my anointed kings forever.

But I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who will do according to what is in My heart and My soul; and I will build him an enduring house, and he will walk before My anointed always.

Then I will raise up for Myself a faithful priest who shall do according to what is in My heart and in My mind. I will build him a sure house, and he shall walk before My anointed forever.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in my heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

And I will raise me up a faithful priest,[ that] shall do according to[ that] which[ is] in mine heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.

since you, LORD of Armies, God of Israel, have revealed this to your servant when you said,“ I will build a house for you.” Therefore, your servant has found the courage to pray this prayer to you.

ever since the day I ordered judges to be over my people Israel. I will give you rest from all your enemies.“‘ The LORD declares to you: The LORD himself will make a house for you.

Please forgive your servant’s offense, for the LORD is certain to make a lasting dynasty for my lord because he fights the LORD’s battles. Throughout your life, may evil not be found in you.

“‘ After that, if you obey all I command you, walk in my ways, and do what is right in my sight in order to keep my statutes and my commands as my servant David did, I will be with you. I will build you a lasting dynasty just as I built for David, and I will give you Israel.

He gives great victories to his king; he shows loyalty to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.

Then the king appointed Benaiah son of Jehoiada in Joab’s place over the army, and he appointed the priest Zadok in Abiathar’s place.

The priest Zadok and the prophet Nathan have anointed him king in Gihon. They have gone up from there rejoicing. The town has been in an uproar; that’s the noise you heard.

but the priest Zadok, Benaiah son of Jehoiada, the prophet Nathan, Shimei, Rei, and David’s royal guard did not side with Adonijah.

I will establish over them one shepherd, my servant David, and he will shepherd them. He will tend them himself and will be their shepherd.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.He doesn’t need to offer sacrifices every day, as high priests do— first for their own sins, then for those of the people. He did this once for all time when he offered himself.For the law appoints as high priests men who are weak, but the promise of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son, who has been perfected forever.

Therefore, he had to be like his brothers and sisters in every way, so that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in matters pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.

The kings of the earth take their stand, and the rulers conspire together against the LORD and his Anointed One:

Ahitub fathered Zadok; Zadok fathered Ahimaaz;Ahimaaz fathered Azariah; Azariah fathered Johanan;Johanan fathered Azariah, who served as priest in the temple that Solomon built in Jerusalem;Azariah fathered Amariah; Amariah fathered Ahitub;Ahitub fathered Zadok; Zadok fathered Shallum;Shallum fathered Hilkiah; Hilkiah fathered Azariah;Azariah fathered Seraiah; and Seraiah fathered Jehozadak.Jehozadak went into exile when the LORD sent Judah and Jerusalem into exile at the hands of Nebuchadnezzar.

“ But the Levitical priests descended from Zadok, who kept charge of my sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from me, will approach me to serve me. They will stand before me to offer me fat and blood.” This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.“ They are the ones who may enter my sanctuary and approach my table to serve me. They will keep my mandate.

They ate and drank with great joy in the LORD’s presence that day. Then, for a second time, they made David’s son Solomon king; they anointed him as the LORD’s ruler, and Zadok as the priest.

So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and the Spirit of the LORD came powerfully on David from that day forward. Then Samuel set out and went to Ramah.

Here I am. Bring charges against me before the LORD and his anointed: Whose ox or donkey have I taken? Who have I wronged or mistreated? Who gave me a bribe to overlook something? I will return it to you.”

It will be a covenant of perpetual priesthood for him and his future descendants, because he was zealous for his God and made atonement for the Israelites.”

Since the midwives feared God, he gave them families.
