在神使以色列人享福的时候，你必看见我居所的败落。在你家中必永远没有一个老年人。

以色列富有之際、爾必目擊敵在我室、爾家永無耆老、

昔我有言、將厚待以色列族、今而後、敵必臨我家、為爾目擊、在爾家不得有老者。

在主降福於以色列人時、有他人為祭司在聖所、爾必怒目視其為敵、在爾家中永無老者、

and you will see distress in my dwelling. Although good will be done to Israel, no one in your family line will ever reach old age.

You will see nothing but trouble in the house where I live. Good things will still happen to Israel. But no one in your family line will ever grow old.

Then in distress you will look with envious eye on all the prosperity that shall be bestowed on Israel, and there shall not be an old man in your house forever.

You will watch with envy as I pour out prosperity on the people of Israel. But no members of your family will ever live out their days.

You will see distress in the place of worship, in spite of all that is good in Israel, and no one in your family will ever again reach old age.

And you will look at the distress of My dwelling, in spite of all the good that I do for Israel; and there will never be an old man in your house.

And you will see an enemy in My dwelling place, despite all the good which God does for Israel. And there shall not be an old man in your house forever.

And thou shalt behold the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which God shall give Israel; and there shall not be an old man in thy house for ever.

You will see distress in the place of worship, in spite of all that is good in Israel, and no one in your family will ever again reach old age.

And thou shalt see an enemy[ in my] habitation, in all[ the wealth] which[ God] shall give Israel: and there shall not be an old man in thine house for ever.

You will see trouble in my dwelling place! Israel will experience blessings, but there will not be an old man in your house for all time.

You will see the affliction of my habitation, in all the wealth which I will give Israel. There shall not be an old man in your house forever.

“萬軍之耶和華這樣說：‘年老的男女必再坐在耶路撒冷的街上；他們因為年紀老邁，各人都手拿拐杖。

神的約櫃也被搶去，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈也死了。

神聽見就大怒，完全棄絕了以色列。他丟棄了在示羅的居所，就是他在世人中間居住的帳棚。他又把象徵他權能的約櫃交給人擄去，把他的榮美交在敵人的手裡，並且把自己的子民交給刀劍，向自己的產業大發烈怒。他們的青年被火吞滅，他們的少女也聽不見結婚的喜歌。他們的祭司倒在刀下，他們的寡婦卻不能哀哭。

於是他們派人到示羅去，從那裡把坐在二基路伯中間萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來；以利的兩個兒子，何弗尼和非尼哈，也與神的約櫃一同來了。

她說：“榮耀已經離開了以色列，因為神的約櫃被搶去了。”

王對亞比亞他祭司說：“你回亞拿突自己的田地去吧！你本來是該死的，但我今天不殺死你，因為你在我父親大衛面前抬過主耶和華的約櫃，又與我父親同受一切苦難。”所羅門就罷免了亞比亞他，不准他作耶和華的祭司，這樣就應驗了耶和華在示羅所說有關以利家的話。
