王諭侍衛曰、耶和華之祭司、輔助大闢、知其逃遁、而不以告、故當殺之。王僕不敢遵命。王諭多益曰、汝擊祭司。以東人多益遂擊祭司、當日殺衣枲公服者八十五人。祭司之邑挪伯、男女、童稚、嬰孩、牛羊、及驢、皆擊以刃。亞希突孫、亞希米勒子亞庇亞塔遁、往從大闢、

上帝之匱見奪、以利二子、何弗尼非尼哈被殺。是日有便雅憫人自裂其衣、以塵蒙首、自行伍間、遁於示羅、入城以告、邑眾號呼。以利坐路旁以待、蓋慮上帝之匱見虜、中心戰慄。既聞號呼之聲、則曰、眾呼何故、其人趨至、而告以利。以利年九十有八、目眊不明。其人曰、我今日自行伍間遁逃而至、曰吾子與、可知其詳乎。曰、以色列族遁於非利士人前、眾被殺戮、爾二子何弗尼、非尼哈亦死、上帝之匱見虜。以利年老體胖、一聞上帝之匱為敵所虜、則自座下墜、隕於門旁、頸折而死、以利在以色列族曾為士師、歷四十年。其媳非尼哈妻懷妊臨產、聞上帝之匱見奪、舅與夫並死、則艱難倍至、卷曲以產。臨死之時、旁侍之婦曰、安爾心、汝生男子。產婦不答、毫不留意、

以利曾孫、非尼哈孫、亞希突子、亞希亞居於示羅、衣公服、為耶和華之祭司、亞希突即以迦泊之弟。民不知約拿單已往。

人子、我已折埃及王法老之肱、不裹其傷。不敷以藥、不纏以布、使彼力廢、難執利刃。主耶和華曰、我必降災於埃及王法老、昔折一肱、其一尚健今並折之、使刃墮地、我必使埃及之人、散處異邦列國、使巴比倫王膂力剛強、俾執我刃、折法老二肱使其嘆息於敵前、若人被重傷、而嘆息焉。

惡者必折其肱、義者必蒙扶翼兮。

王使耶何耶大子庇拿雅代約押為軍長、使祭司撒督代亞庇亞塔。

嫠者使之徒反、孤者去其所恃、

昔以色列族背我、崇拜偶像、利未人亦背我、遂負罪戾、

王告祭司亞庇亞塔曰、昔爾舁耶和華上帝之匱、在我父大闢前、恆與我父同憂、今雖當死、我不於此時殺爾、盍歸故土亞拿突。遂驅亞庇亞塔、不使為耶和華之祭司。於是耶和華在示羅、論以利家之言應矣。
