“ Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the Lord is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed.

The path of the righteous is level; you, the Upright One, make the way of the righteous smooth. (niv)

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble. (niv)

All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. (niv)

If you say,“ But we knew nothing about this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who guards your life know it? Will he not repay everyone according to what they have done? (niv)

would not God have discovered it, since he knows the secrets of the heart? (niv)

Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit. (niv)

Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting. (niv)

Who is it you have ridiculed and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel! (niv)

“ I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.” (niv)

But the Lord said to Samuel,“ Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (niv)

They pour out arrogant words; all the evildoers are full of boasting. (niv)
