If one person sins against another, God may mediate for the offender; but if anyone sins against the Lord, who will intercede for them?” His sons, however, did not listen to their father’s rebuke, for it was the Lord’s will to put them to death.

If a person sins against someone else, God can help that sinner. But if anyone sins against the Lord, who can help them?” In spite of what their father Eli said, his sons didn’t pay any attention to his warning. That’s because the Lord had already decided to put them to death.

因為使他們的心頑強、來對以色列人接戰的、是出於永恆主，要把他們盡行殺滅歸神，使他們不得恩待，反而被消滅掉，正如永恆主所吩咐摩西的。

因為我們領受了真理之認識以後，若故意犯罪，就不再有為罪獻的祭保留着了，

所以我向以利家起誓說：以利家的罪孽就使用肉祭和供物、也永遠不能得赦除。』

但那以高傲手段行事的人、無論是本地人、是寄居的、他是褻瀆永恆主的，那人總須從他的族人中被剪除。

捨棄正路的必受嚴厲的懲罰；恨惡勸責的必致早死。

我犯罪得罪的乃是你，就只是你，是在你眼前行了這壞事，以致你下判語時顯為公義，你判罰時顯為清正。

神言人向王說話的時候，王對他說：『我們何曾立你做參謀呢？你止住、別說吧！為甚麼硬要被打死呢？』那神言人就止住了；可又再說：『我知道上帝是定下了主意要滅絕你的，因為你行這事，不聽我給你出的主意。』

人們之所以不能信的、是因為以賽亞又說：『主把他們的眼弄瞎了。使他們的心頑梗不化，省得他們用眼看見，用心了悟，回轉過來，而我醫治他們！』（

上帝只有一位，在上帝與人之間、中保也只有一位，就是作人的基督耶穌。

因此凡藉着他而進到上帝面前的人、他都能拯救到底；因為他總是活着、替他們請求。

『人與人之間若有爭訟的事上審判廳，官府審判他們，定有理的無罪，定無理的有罪；那無理的應該受責打，那麼審判官就要叫他伏在地上，按着他的罪、照數目使他當面受責打。只可打他四十下，不可加多；若加打他、多過這數目，恐怕你的族弟兄就在你面前被輕慢了。

審判的時候、不可看人的外貌；聽訟無論是聽卑小的，還是聽尊大的、都要一樣；不可怕人的情面，因為審判是屬於上帝的；你們認為難辦的案件、可以呈到我這裏來，我就判斷。」

因為你不喜愛祭物；我若獻上燔祭，你也不悅納。

但是希實本王西宏不情願容我們從他那裏經過，因為永恆主你的上帝使他的靈剛愎、心意頑固，為要將他交在你手中、像今日一樣。

『在你城內若有案件在流血與流血之間、辯訴與辯訴之間、毆打與毆打之間、爭訟的點太離奇、不是你所能判斷的，那麼你就要起來，上永恆主你的上帝所要選擇的地方，去見祭司利未人和當日做審判官的、去查問，他們便會將判斷的話向你宣告。你要按照他們從永恆主所要選擇的那地方向你宣告的話去行；照他們所指教你的一切事謹慎遵行；按照他們所指教你的律法、所對你說的判斷去行；你對他們所要向你宣告的話可不要偏於右或偏於左。若有人擅自行事，不聽從祭司、那站在那裏事奉永恆主你的上帝的、或是不聽從審判官，那人就必須死；你要把那壞事從以色列中肅清。
