原來耶和華使他們心裡剛硬，跟以色列人作戰，好讓他們遭受無情的毀滅，正如耶和華對摩西的吩咐。

因為我們知道了真理以後，若仍然故意犯罪，就再沒有贖罪祭了，

所以，我向以利家起誓說，『靠祭物或禮物絕不能贖去以利家的罪惡。』」

但不管是以色列人還是外族人，若故意妄為，褻瀆了耶和華，都要被剷除，

背離正道，必遭嚴懲；厭惡責備，必致死亡。

我犯罪得罪了你，唯獨得罪了你，做了你看為邪惡的事，所以你對我的責備是正當的，你對我的審判是公正的。

先知的話還沒有說完，王就打斷他，說：「住口！誰立你做王的謀士了？你要自取滅亡嗎？」先知停了一下，又說：「我知道上帝已定意要毀滅你，因為你做了這事，不聽我的忠告。」

接著，以賽亞又說出他們不能信的緣故：「主使他們眼瞎、心硬，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白，回心轉意，就得到我的醫治。」

上帝只有一位，在上帝和人類之間只有一位中保，就是降世為人的基督耶穌。

所以祂能拯救那些靠著祂來到上帝面前的人，直到永遠，因為祂永遠活著，為他們祈求。

「如果發生糾紛，雙方告上法庭，審判官要判明是非。如果有罪的一方被判受鞭打，審判官要命令他當場伏在地上，按罪行輕重受刑。最多可以鞭打他四十下。如果超過四十下，你們就是在公開羞辱自己的同胞。

不可偏私，不分貴賤，不懼情面，因為判決來自上帝。如果案件太難，可以交給我處理。

你不喜歡祭物，否則我會獻上，你也不喜愛燔祭。

希實本王西宏卻拒絕我們的請求，因為我們的上帝耶和華使他頑固不化，好讓我們擊敗他，正如今日的情形。

「如果案件複雜，難以決斷，如謀殺、訴訟、人身傷害等，就要把案件帶到你們的上帝耶和華選定的地方，交給當值的利未祭司和審判官去審理。你們必須執行他們在耶和華所選擇的地方宣告的判決，你們要謹慎遵行他們的一切指示。他們教導你們律法，宣佈判決後，你們必須完全執行，絲毫不可偏離。如果有人不肯接受事奉你們上帝耶和華的祭司和審判官的判決，就必須處死他。如此，你們便從以色列除掉了罪惡，
