孩子渐渐长大，强健起来，充满智慧，又有神的恩在他身上。

孩子撒母耳渐渐长大，耶和华与人越发喜爱他。

后来妇人生了一个儿子，给他起名叫参孙。孩子长大，耶和华赐福与他。

耶和华按着先前的话眷顾撒拉，便照他所说的给撒拉成就。

撒母耳长大了，耶和华与他同在，使他所说的话一句都不落空。

那孩子渐渐长大，心灵强健，住在旷野，直到他显明在以色列人面前的日子。

“主以色列的神是应当称颂的！因他眷顾他的百姓，为他们施行救赎，

次日清早，他们起来，在耶和华面前敬拜，就回拉玛。到了家里，以利加拿和妻哈拿同房，耶和华顾念哈拿，哈拿就怀孕。日期满足，生了一个儿子，给他起名叫撒母耳，说：“这是我从耶和华那里求来的。”

耶稣的智慧和身量，并神和人喜爱他的心，都一齐增长。
