Sometimes the person would say to him,“ Let the fat be burned first. Then take what you want.” But the servant would answer,“ No. Hand it over right now. If you don’t, I’ll take it away from you by force.”

献祭的人若说：“必须先烧脂油，然后你可以随意取肉。”仆人就说：“你立时给我，不然我便抢去。”

献祭的人若说：“他们必须先烧脂肪，然后你才可以随意拿。”仆人就说：“不，你立刻给我，不然我就要抢了。”

献祭的人若说：“他们必须先烧脂肪，然后你才可以随意拿。”仆人就说：“不，你立刻给我，不然我就要抢了。”

如果献祭的人答道：“要先焚烧脂肪，之后你可以随便拿。”仆人便会说：“不，你现在就给我，不然我就要抢了。”

如果那人对仆人说：“必须先把脂油焚烧了，然后你才可以随意去拿。”他就说：“不可以，你现在就要给我，否则我就抢去。”

如果献祭的人说“必须先烧献了脂肪，然后你可以随意拿”，祭司的仆人就会说“不，你现在就给我，不然我就抢了”。

獻祭的人若說：「必須先燒脂油，然後你可以隨意取肉。」僕人就說：「你立時給我，不然我便搶去。」

獻祭的人若說：「他們必須先燒脂肪，然後你才可以隨意拿。」僕人就說：「不，你立刻給我，不然我就要搶了。」

如果獻祭的人答道：「要先焚燒脂肪，之後你可以隨便拿。」僕人便會說：「不，你現在就給我，不然我就要搶了。」

如果那人對僕人說：“必須先把脂油焚燒了，然後你才可以隨意去拿。”他就說：“不可以，你現在就要給我，否則我就搶去。”

獻祭的人若對他說：『人必須先燻脂肪，然後你才可以隨意去取』；僮僕就說：『不，你現在就給，不然我便強取。』

如果獻祭的人說「必須先燒獻了脂肪，然後你可以隨意拿」，祭司的僕人就會說「不，你現在就給我，不然我就搶了」。

如人曰、必先焚脂、然後任爾所欲取之、彼則曰、非也、今當予我、不然、我強取之、

如人曰、必先焚脂、仍循舊例、然後任爾所取。祭司之少者必曰、今當予我、不然我強取之。

如其人曰、必先焚脂、然後任爾所取、僕曰、爾即給我、不然、我強取之、

If the person said to him,“ Let the fat be burned first, and then take whatever you want,” the servant would answer,“ No, hand it over now; if you don’t, I’ll take it by force.”

And if the man said to him,“ Let them burn the fat first, and then take as much as you wish,” he would say,“ No, you must give it now, and if not, I will take it by force.”

The man offering the sacrifice might reply,“ Take as much as you want, but the fat must be burned first.” Then the servant would demand,“ No, give it to me now, or I’ll take it by force.”

If that person said to him,“ The fat must be burned first; then you can take whatever you want for yourself,” the servant would reply,“ No, I insist that you hand it over right now. If you don’t, I’ll take it by force!”

And if the man said to him,“ They must burn the fat first, then take as much as you desire,” then he would say,“ No, but you must give it to me now; and if not, I am taking it by force!”

And if the man said to him,“ They should really burn the fat first; then you may take as much as your heart desires,” he would then answer him,“ No, but you must give it now; and if not, I will take it by force.”

And if the man said unto him, They will surely burn the fat first, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would say, Nay, but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.

If that man said to him,“ The fat must be burned first; then you can take whatever you want for yourself,” the servant would reply,“ No, I insist that you hand it over right now. If you don’t, I’ll take it by force!”

And[ if] any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and[ then] take[ as much] as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him,[ Nay]; but thou shalt give[ it me] now: and if not, I will take[ it] by force.

If the individual said to him,“ First let the fat be burned away, and then take for yourself whatever you wish,” he would say,“ No! Hand it over right now! If you don’t, I will take it forcibly!”

If the man said to him,“ Let the fat be burned first, and then take as much as your soul desires;” then he would say,“ No, but you shall give it to me now; and if not, I will take it by force.”

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Do not eat any of the fat of cattle, sheep or goats.Do not eat the fat of any animal found dead. Do not eat the fat of an animal that wild animals have torn apart. But you can use the fat for any other purpose.Suppose an animal has been sacrificed as a food offering to the Lord. No one may eat its fat. If they do, they will be separated from their people.

Be shepherds of God’s flock, the believers under your care. Watch over them, though not because you have to. Instead, do it because you want to. That’s what God wants you to do. Don’t do it because you want to get money in dishonest ways. Do it because you really want to serve.Don’t act as if you were a ruler over those under your care. Instead, be examples to the flock.

Then the priest must burn the offering on the altar as food. It is a food offering. It has a pleasant smell. All the fat belongs to the Lord.

How terrible it will be for those who plan to harm others! How terrible for those who make evil plans before they even get out of bed! As soon as daylight comes, they carry out their plans. That’s because they have the power to do it.If they want fields or houses, they take them. They cheat people out of their homes. They rob them of their property.

The Lord says,“ The prophets are those who lead my people astray. If my people feed them, the prophets promise them peace. If my people do not feed them, the prophets prepare to go to war against them.

But there had been governors before me. They had put a heavy load on the people. They had taken a pound of silver from each of them. They had also taken food and wine from them. Their officials had acted like high and mighty rulers over them. But because of my great respect for God, I didn’t act like that.

The people of Dan answered,“ Don’t argue with us. Some of the men may get angry and attack you. Then you and your family will lose your lives.”
