My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horn will be exalted.

You will break them with a rod of iron; you will dash them to pieces like pottery.”

Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.

For surely your enemies, Lord, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered.You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.

You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

The king rejoices in your strength, Lord. How great is his joy in the victories you give!

let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.

Your right hand, Lord, was majestic in power. Your right hand, Lord, shattered the enemy.

The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy, with great bolts of lightning he routed them.

Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.

While Samuel was sacrificing the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to engage Israel in battle. But that day the Lord thundered with loud thunder against the Philistines and threw them into such a panic that they were routed before the Israelites.

The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying,

May God arise, may his enemies be scattered; may his foes flee before him.May you blow them away like smoke— as wax melts before the fire, may the wicked perish before God.

You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them— bring them here and kill them in front of me.’”

The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.Our God comes and will not be silent; a fire devours before him, and around him a tempest rages.He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that he may judge his people:“ Gather to me this consecrated people, who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”And the heavens proclaim his righteousness, for he is a God of justice.

“ When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

Then Jesus came to them and said,“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

“ So may all your enemies perish, Lord! But may all who love you be like the sun when it rises in its strength.” Then the land had peace forty years.

For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

For the king trusts in the Lord; through the unfailing love of the Most High he will not be shaken.Your hand will lay hold on all your enemies; your right hand will seize your foes.When you appear for battle, you will burn them up as in a blazing furnace. The Lord will swallow them up in his wrath, and his fire will consume them.

“ I have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.”

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David

For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it.Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and there was no place for them.And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books.The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done.Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death.Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

For you are their glory and strength, and by your favor you exalt our horn.

And he has raised up for his people a horn, the praise of all his faithful servants, of Israel, the people close to his heart. Praise the Lord.

“ Then the King will say to those on his right,‘ Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.

They will say of me,‘ In the Lord alone are deliverance and strength.’” All who have raged against him will come to him and be put to shame.

Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.

The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded.

You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.It is written:“‘ As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,‘ every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’”So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

“ Now then, tell my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

Do you have an arm like God’s, and can your voice thunder like his?

Now here is the king you have chosen, the one you asked for; see, the Lord has set a king over you.

Samuel said to him,“ The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you today and has given it to one of your neighbors— to one better than you.

Here I stand. Testify against me in the presence of the Lord and his anointed. Whose ox have I taken? Whose donkey have I taken? Whom have I cheated? Whom have I oppressed? From whose hand have I accepted a bribe to make me shut my eyes? If I have done any of these things, I will make it right.”

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

The Lord said to Samuel,“ How long will you mourn for Saul, since I have rejected him as king over Israel? Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you to Jesse of Bethlehem. I have chosen one of his sons to be king.”

Then Samuel called on the Lord, and that same day the Lord sent thunder and rain. So all the people stood in awe of the Lord and of Samuel.

See, a king will reign in righteousness and rulers will rule with justice.
