So Saul sent messengers to capture David. When they saw a company of prophets prophesying with Samuel standing there as their leader, the spirit of God came upon Saul’s messengers, and they also prophesied.

When Saul and his servant arrived at Gibeah, a company of prophets was coming out to meet him. Then the spirit of God rushed upon Saul and he prophesied among them.

( 3: 1) After all of this I will pour out my Spirit on all kinds of people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your elderly will have revelatory dreams; your young men will see prophetic visions.

When Saul sent messengers to arrest David, she said,“ He’s sick.”

They will have harps, tambourines, flutes, and lyres, and they will be prophesying.Then the spirit of the LORD will rush upon you and you will prophesy with them. You will be changed into a different person.

But if all prophesy, and an unbeliever or uninformed person enters, he will be convicted by all, he will be called to account by all.The secrets of his heart are disclosed, and in this way he will fall down with his face to the ground and worship God, declaring,“ God is really among you.”

Then the officers returned to the chief priests and Pharisees, who said to them,“ Why didn’t you bring him back with you?”The officers replied,“ No one ever spoke like this man!”Then the Pharisees answered,“ You haven’t been deceived too, have you?None of the rulers or the Pharisees have believed in him, have they?But this rabble who do not know the law are accursed!”Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus before and who was one of the rulers, said,“ Our law doesn’t condemn a man unless it first hears from him and learns what he is doing, does it?”They replied,“ You aren’t from Galilee too, are you? Investigate carefully and you will see that no prophet comes from Galilee!”[[

But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouragement, and consolation.

And the LORD came down in the cloud and spoke to them, and he took some of the Spirit that was on Moses and put it on the seventy elders. When the Spirit rested on them, they prophesied, but did not do so again.But two men remained in the camp; one’s name was Eldad, and the other’s name was Medad. And the spirit rested on them.( Now they were among those in the registration, but had not gone to the tabernacle.) So they prophesied in the camp.
