so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men, and they also prophesied.

So Saul sent some men to capture him. When they got there, they saw a group of prophets who were prophesying. Samuel was standing there as their leader. Then the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men. So they also began to prophesy.

Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

法利賽人聽見羣眾唧唧咕咕地拿這些事來議論耶穌，祭司長和法利賽人就差遣差役要逮他。

掃羅從那裏到了基比亞，看哪，有一班神言人迎見着他，上帝的靈大大感動他，他就在他們中間受感動而發神言狂。

『日後我必將我的靈傾注於一切血肉之人；你們的兒女就必說豫言，你們的老年人就作異夢，你們的少年人就見異象。

掃羅打發差役去捉拿大衛，米甲說：『他病了。』

那一夜掃羅打發差役到大衛的住宅去窺伺他，要在第二天早晨殺死他。大衛的妻子米甲對大衛說：『你今夜若不逃命，明日就會被殺死。』

然後你要到基比亞以羅欣，在那裏有非利士人的駐防兵；你到了那城的時候，在那裏必突然遇見一班神言人從邱壇下來，他們前頭有琵琶、手鼓、笛、琴；這些人都受感動而發神言狂。永恆主的靈必大大感動你，你就和他們一同受感動而發神言狂；你就要變為另一個人。

但若眾人都傳講神言，有個不信的人或外行的進來，他一給眾人所訐發，一給眾人所審斷，他心裏的隱密事就顯露了。這樣，他就要俯伏敬拜上帝，傳揚說上帝真在你們中間了。

當時那些差役回到祭司長和法利賽人那裏：他們對差役說：『你們為甚麼沒有把他帶來呢？』差役回答說：『從來沒有人像這個人這樣講話的。』法利賽人就回答他們說：『難道連你們也受了迷惑？難道議員們或法利賽人中也有信他的？至於這不懂律法的羣眾呢，他們只是被咒詛的罷了。』他們中間有一個人、先前來見耶穌的尼哥底母、對他們說：『若不先聽聽他本人的口供，而知道他所作的是甚麼事，難道我們的律法還定人的罪麼？』他們回答他說：『難道連你也是出於加利利麼？你去探索，就可以看清楚：神言人是不從加利利興起來的。』【

但傳講神言的卻是對人講建立勸勉和撫慰。

永恆主在雲中降臨，對摩西說話，將在摩西身上的靈分與做長老的七十個人身上；當靈停在他們身上的時候，他們就受感動而發神言狂。以後卻沒有再發。當時留在營裏的還有兩個人；一個名叫伊利達，另一個名叫米達；靈也居然停在他們身上了。這兩個人本是在被記錄者之中，卻沒有出來到帳棚裏；他們就在營中受感動而發神言狂。
