so he sent men to capture him. But when they saw a group of prophets prophesying, with Samuel standing there as their leader, the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men, and they also prophesied.

So Saul sent some men to capture him. When they got there, they saw a group of prophets who were prophesying. Samuel was standing there as their leader. Then the Spirit of God came on Saul’s men. So they also began to prophesy.

Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

法利賽人聞眾因耶穌如此議論、則與祭司諸長遣吏役執之、

掃羅與僕至基比亞、即神邱見群先知迎之而來、掃羅為天主之神所感、遂在眾先知中感神而言、

厥後我將以我之神賦畀萬人、俾爾子女言未來事、老者見夢兆、幼者見異象、

掃羅遣使執大衛、米甲曰、彼病矣、

掃羅遣人至大衛家守之、待旦、欲殺之、大衛妻米甲謂之曰、爾今夕若不保命而逃、明日必見殺、

此後、爾至神邱、神邱或作天主之基比亞在彼有非利士人之營、爾既入邑、必遇一群先知、自崇邱而下、其前有鼓瑟者、擊鼓者、吹笛者、彈琴者、俱感神而言、爾為主之神所感、偕諸先知感神而言、自覺易為新人、

若皆為先知講道、有不信者、或無識者入、則覺為眾所責、為眾所議、如是、其心之隱微顯露、即俯伏拜天主云、天主誠在爾中、

吏役歸、見祭司諸長及法利賽人、眾問曰、爾何不曳之來、吏役答曰、從未有人言若此人言者、法利賽人曰、爾曹亦被惑乎、有司及法利賽人、有信之者乎、但此眾不識律法、實可詛也、中有尼哥底母、即曾夜就耶穌者、謂法利賽人曰、未究詰人、不識其所為、我律法豈罪之乎、眾答曰、爾亦迦利利人乎、可考而知、從無先知由迦利利起者、

為先知講道者、乃向人言、以建德、以勸勉、以安慰、

主乘雲降臨、與摩西言、以感摩西之神、分賜七十長老、既賦之以神、則感神而言、厥後不能若此、或作以後亦不止息被錄者中有二人、一名伊利達、一名米達、仍居於營、未出至幕前、神已賦之、即在營中感神而言、
