He threw it at David. As he did, he said to himself,“ I’ll pin David to the wall.” But David got away from him twice.

And Saul hurled the spear, for he thought,“ I will pin David to the wall.” But David evaded him twice.

But Saul hurled his spear at him to kill him. Then Jonathan knew that his father intended to kill David.

At this, they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus hid himself, slipping away from the temple grounds.

But an evil spirit from the Lord came on Saul as he was sitting in his house with his spear in his hand. While David was playing the lyre,Saul tried to pin him to the wall with his spear, but David eluded him as Saul drove the spear into the wall. That night David made good his escape.

But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.

Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?

The wicked lie in wait for the righteous, intent on putting them to death;but the Lord will not leave them in the power of the wicked or let them be condemned when brought to trial.

Again they tried to seize him, but he escaped their grasp.
