亦使此會咸知耶和華施行拯救、非以劍以槍、蓋戰事屬於耶和華、彼必付爾於我手、

亦使斯大會知耶和華救人、非藉劍戟、其使人獲勝者、乃任意以行、將付爾於我手。

亦使此大會知主使人獲勝、非藉刀與槍、蓋戰之勝敗在乎主、原文作戰事屬乎主將付爾於我儕手、

The Lord doesn’t rescue people by using a sword or a spear. And everyone here will know it. The battle belongs to the Lord. He will hand all of you over to us.”

and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hand.”

And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!”

and this whole assembly will know that it is not by sword or by spear that the LORD saves, for the battle is the LORD’s. He will hand you over to us.”

and that this entire assembly may know that the Lord does not save by sword or by spear; for the battle is the Lord’s, and He will hand you over to us!”

Then all this assembly shall know that the Lord does not save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give you into our hands.”

and that all this assembly may know that Jehovah saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is Jehovah’s, and he will give you into our hand.

I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory;but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame.

Yet I will show love to Judah; and I will save them— not by bow, sword or battle, or by horses and horsemen, but I, the Lord their God, will save them.”

Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer,“ Come, let’s go over to the outpost of those uncircumcised men. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.”

So he said to me,“ This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel:‘ Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said,“ Lord, there is no one like you to help the powerless against the mighty. Help us, Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. Lord, you are our God; do not let mere mortals prevail against you.”

He said:“ Listen, King Jehoshaphat and all who live in Judah and Jerusalem! This is what the Lord says to you:‘ Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.Tomorrow march down against them. They will be climbing up by the Pass of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the gorge in the Desert of Jeruel.You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength.A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save.

Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord.The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.

The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
