非利士人对大卫说：“你拿杖到我这里来，我岂是狗呢？”非利士人就指着自己的神咒诅大卫。

非利士人对大卫说：“你拿着杖到我这里来，我岂是狗吗？”非利士人就指着自己的神明诅咒大卫。

非利士人对大卫说：“你拿着杖到我这里来，我岂是狗吗？”非利士人就指着自己的神明诅咒大卫。

他对大卫说：“你拿着棍子来战我，难道我是一条狗吗？”他就凭自己的神明咒诅大卫，

那非利士人对大卫说：“难道我是一条狗吗？你竟拿杖来攻击我。”于是指着自己的神咒诅大卫。

那非利士人对大卫说：“我是一条狗吗？你竟然拿木杖来对付我！”于是那非利士人指着自己的神诅咒大卫。

非利士人對大衛說：「你拿杖到我這裏來，我豈是狗呢？」非利士人就指着自己的神咒詛大衛。

那非利士人對大衛說：「我是一條狗嗎？你竟然拿木杖來對付我！」於是那非利士人指著自己的神詛咒大衛。

謂之曰、爾執杖迎我、我豈犬乎、遂指其神而詛之、

謂大闢曰、汝執杖來迎、以我為犬乎。遂指厥上帝、而咒詛大闢。

非利士人謂大衛曰、爾執杖來迎我、我豈犬乎、非利士人遂指其國之神、咒詛大衛、

He said to David,“ Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

He said to David,“ Why are you coming at me with sticks? Do you think I’m only a dog?” The Philistine cursed David in the name of his gods.

“ Am I a dog,” he roared at David,“ that you come at me with a stick?” And he cursed David by the names of his gods.

He said to David,“ Am I a dog that you come against me with sticks?” Then he cursed David by his gods.

So the Philistine said to David,“ Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

So the Philistine said to David,“ Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

He said to David,“ Am I a dog that you come against me with sticks?” Then he cursed David by his gods.

And the Philistine said unto David,[ Am] I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

The Philistine said to David,“ Am I a dog, that you are coming after me with sticks?” Then the Philistine cursed David by his gods.

After whom has the king of Israel come out? After whom do you pursue? After a dead dog! After a flea!

Then Abner was very angry over the words of Ish-bosheth and said,“ Am I a dog’s head of Judah? To this day I keep showing steadfast love to the house of Saul your father, to his brothers, and to his friends, and have not given you into the hand of David. And yet you charge me today with a fault concerning a woman.

And Hazael said,“ What is your servant, who is but a dog, that he should do this great thing?” Elisha answered,“ The Lord has shown me that you are to be king over Syria.”

And he paid homage and said,“ What is your servant, that you should show regard for a dead dog such as I?”

Then Abishai the son of Zeruiah said to the king,“ Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? Let me go over and take off his head.”

Like a sparrow in its flitting, like a swallow in its flying, a curse that is causeless does not alight.

‘ Behold, a people has come out of Egypt, and it covers the face of the earth. Now come, curse them for me. Perhaps I shall be able to fight against them and drive them out.’”God said to Balaam,“ You shall not go with them. You shall not curse the people, for they are blessed.”

Come now, curse this people for me, since they are too mighty for me. Perhaps I shall be able to defeat them and drive them from the land, for I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.”

Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you. Be lord over your brothers, and may your mother’s sons bow down to you. Cursed be everyone who curses you, and blessed be everyone who blesses you!”

And they went out into the field and gathered the grapes from their vineyards and trod them and held a festival; and they went into the house of their god and ate and drank and reviled Abimelech.
