“ What have I done now?” David replied.“ I was only asking a question!”

大衛說：「我現在做了甚麼呢？只是問一句話也不可以嗎？」

大衛說：「我做錯了什麼？我問一下都不行嗎？」

大衛說：“我現在作了甚麼事呢？不是只說了一句話嗎？”

大衛說：『我現在作了甚麼？豈不是一件重要的事麼？』

大衛說：「我究竟做了什麼呢？不就是問了一句話嗎？」

大衛曰、我何所為、惟問一言而已、

大闢曰、我何所為、我豈非奉命而來乎。

大衛曰、我何所為、問一言何妨、或作我豈非奉命而來乎

“ Now what have I done?” said David.“ Can’t I even speak?”

“ What have I done now?” said David.“ Can’t I even speak?”

And David said,“ What have I done now? Was it not but a word?”

“ What have I done now?” protested David.“ It was just a question.”

But David said,“ What have I done now? Was it not just a question?”

And David said,“ What have I done now? Is there not a cause?”

And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?

“ What have I done now?” protested David.“ It was just a question.”

And David said, What have I now done?[ Is there] not a cause?

David replied,“ What have I done now? Can’t I say anything?”

David said,“ What have I now done? Is there not a cause?”

But when Peter arrived back in Jerusalem, the Jewish believers criticized him.“ You entered the home of Gentiles and even ate with them!” they said.Then Peter told them exactly what had happened.

A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.

Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others.

Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing.
