Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.

When the evil spirit sent by God would come on Saul, David would get his harp and play it. That would help Saul. He would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.

And whenever the harmful spirit from God was upon Saul, David took the lyre and played it with his hand. So Saul was refreshed and was well, and the harmful spirit departed from him.

And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. Then Saul would feel better, and the tormenting spirit would go away.

第二天、從上帝那裏來的惡靈大大激動了掃羅，掃羅就在家中發神言狂；大衛天天手彈絃琴；掃羅手裏總是拿着矛。掃羅把矛拿起來，心裏說：『我要刺透大衛，給釘在牆上。』大衛從掃羅面前躲避了兩次。

『污靈從人裏面出來，走遍無水之地，尋求安歇，卻尋不着。便說：「我要回到我所由出的屋裏去」。他來到，見無人居住，打掃乾淨，修飾齊整。便去，另外帶了七個比自己更邪惡的靈一同來，進去，住在那裏。那人末後的景況就比先前的更壞了。這邪惡的世代也必如此。』
