Samuel replied,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” But the LORD said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

撒母耳说：“我怎么可以去呢？扫罗知道了，一定会杀掉我。”耶和华说：“你带一头牛犊去，就说，‘我是来向耶和华献祭的。’

撒母耳说：“我怎能去呢？扫罗听见了，必定杀我。”耶和华说：“你可以带一头母牛犊去，就说：‘我来是要向耶和华献祭。’

撒母耳說：『我怎能去呢？掃羅聽見、必定殺害我的。』永恆主說：『你手裏可以牽着一隻母牛犢，就說：「我是為給永恆主獻祭來的。」

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” The Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? Suppose Saul hears about it. Then he’ll kill me.” The Lord said,“ Take a young cow with you. Tell the elders of Bethlehem,‘ I’ve come to offer a sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” And the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

But Samuel asked,“ How can I do that? If Saul hears about it, he will kill me.”“ Take a heifer with you,” the Lord replied,“ and say that you have come to make a sacrifice to the Lord.

Samuel asked,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” The LORD answered,“ Take a young cow with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the LORD.’

But Samuel said,“ How can I go? When Saul hears about it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” But the Lord said,“ Take a heifer with you, and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And Jehovah said, Take a heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to Jehovah.

Samuel asked,“ How can I go? Saul will hear about it and kill me!” The Lord answered,“ Take a young cow with you and say,‘ I have come to sacrifice to the Lord.’

And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear[ it], he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the LORD.

Samuel said,“ How can I go? If Saul hears it, he will kill me.” Yahweh said,“ Take a heifer with you, and say, I have come to sacrifice to Yahweh.

They replied,“ Yes, straight ahead! But hurry now, for he came to the town today, and the people are making a sacrifice at the high place.

He said,‘ Permit me to go, for we are having a family sacrifice in the city, and my brother urged me to be there. So now, if I have found favor with you, let me go to see my brothers.’ For that reason he has not come to the king’s table.”

Obadiah said,“ What sin have I committed that you are ready to hand your servant over to Ahab for execution?As certainly as the LORD your God lives, my master has sent to every nation and kingdom in an effort to find you. When they say,‘ He’s not here,’ he makes them swear an oath that they could not find you.Now you say,‘ Go and say to your master,“ Elijah is back.”’But when I leave you, the LORD’s spirit will carry you away so I can’t find you. If I go tell Ahab I’ve seen you, he won’t be able to find you and he will kill me. That would not be fair, because your servant has been a loyal follower of the LORD from my youth.Certainly my master is aware of what I did when Jezebel was killing the LORD’s prophets. I hid one hundred of the LORD’s prophets in two caves in two groups of fifty and I brought them food and water.Now you say,‘ Go and say to your master,“ Elijah is back,”’ but he will kill me.”

If they do this, tell them,‘ I was pleading with the king not to send me back to die in the dungeon of Jonathan’s house.’”All the officials did indeed come and question Jeremiah. He told them exactly what the king had instructed him to say. They stopped questioning him any further because no one had actually heard their conversation.

“ I am sending you out like sheep surrounded by wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.

Mary said to the angel,“ How will this be, since I have not had sexual relations with a man?”

Moses said to God,“ Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh, or that I should bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
