Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said,“ Send me David your son, who is with the sheep.”

于是扫罗派遣使者们到耶西那里，说：“把你那与羊群在一起的儿子大卫送到我这里来！”

於是掃羅差遣使者去見耶西，說：「請你打發你放羊的兒子大衛到我這裏來。」

於是掃羅差遣使者到耶西那裏，說：「叫你放羊的兒子大衛到我這裏來。」

掃羅便差遣使者去見耶西，說：「請讓你放羊的兒子大衛到我這裡來。」

於是掃羅打發使者去見耶西，說：『請打發你的兒子大衛、那跟着羊羣的、到我這裏來。』

於是掃羅派遣使者們到耶西那裡，說：「把你那與羊群在一起的兒子大衛送到我這裡來！」

掃羅遣使詣耶西曰、爾子大衛、與羊同在、遣至我所、

掃羅遣人至耶西曰、汝子大闢牧羊於野、使詣我所。

掃羅遣人往見耶西曰、使爾牧羊之子大衛、至於我所、

Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said,“ Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.”

Then Saul sent messengers to Jesse. He said,“ Send me your son David, the one who takes care of your sheep.”

Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said,“ Send me David your son, who is with the sheep.”

So Saul sent messengers to Jesse to say,“ Send me your son David, the shepherd.”

Then Saul dispatched messengers to Jesse and said,“ Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.”

So Saul sent messengers to Jesse to say,“ Send me your son David, who is with the flock.”

Therefore Saul sent messengers to Jesse, and said,“ Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.”

Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, who is with the sheep.

Then Saul dispatched messengers to Jesse and said,“ Send me your son David, who is with the sheep.”

Wherefore Saul sent messengers unto Jesse, and said, Send me David thy son, which[ is] with the sheep.

So Saul sent messengers to Jesse and said,“ Send me your son David, who is out with the sheep.

Now David went back and forth from Saul to feed his father’s sheep at Bethlehem.

Samuel said to Jesse,“ Are all your children here?” He said,“ There remains yet the youngest. Behold, he is keeping the sheep.” Samuel said to Jesse,“ Send and get him, for we will not sit down until he comes here.”

He also chose David his servant, and took him from the sheepfolds;from following the ewes that have their young, he brought him to be the shepherd of Jacob, his people, and Israel, his inheritance.So he was their shepherd according to the integrity of his heart, and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

that he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people.

So he departed from there, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth. Elijah went over to him, and put his mantle on him.

Saul said to David,“ You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.”David said to Saul,“ Your servant was keeping his father’s sheep; and when a lion or a bear came, and took a lamb out of the flock,

Now Moses was keeping the flock of Jethro, his father- in- law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the back of the wilderness, and came to God’s mountain, to Horeb.Yahweh’s angel appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the middle of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed.Moses said,“ I will go now, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burned.”When Yahweh saw that he came over to see, God called to him out of the middle of the bush, and said,“ Moses! Moses!” He said,“ Here I am.”He said,“ Don’t come close. Take off your sandals, for the place you are standing on is holy ground.”Moreover he said,“ I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Moses hid his face because he was afraid to look at God.Yahweh said,“ I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt, and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters, for I know their sorrows.I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land to a good and large land, to a land flowing with milk and honey; to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.Now, behold, the cry of the children of Israel has come to me. Moreover I have seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them.Come now therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh, that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt.”

Then Amos answered Amaziah,“ I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;and Yahweh took me from following the flock, and Yahweh said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.He said to them,“ Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.”They immediately left their nets and followed him.Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.They immediately left the boat and their father, and followed him.
