One of the servants answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”

有一少者對曰、我嘗見伯利恆人耶西之子善鼓琴、大勇善戰、慎言語、美姿容、耶和華亦偕之、

一僕曰、我素知伯利恆人耶西之子、善鼓琴、英武善戰、中藏智慧、丰采甚都、為耶和華所佑。

臣僕中一人曰、我曾見伯利恆人耶西之一子、善於鼓琴、英武善戰、行事有謀、容貌俊美、為主所祐、

One of the servants said,“ I’ve seen someone who knows how to play the harp. He is a son of Jesse from Bethlehem. He’s a brave man. He would make a good soldier. He’s a good speaker. He’s very handsome. And the Lord is with him.”

One of the young men answered,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a man of good presence, and the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants said to Saul,“ One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that— he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine looking young man, and the Lord is with him.”

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the LORD is with him.”

Then one of the young men responded and said,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a valiant mighty man, a warrior, skillful in speech, and a handsome man; and the Lord is with him.”

Then one of the servants answered and said,“ Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”

Then answered one of the young men, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth- lehemite, that is skilful in playing, and a mighty man of valor, and a man of war, and prudent in speech, and a comely person; and Jehovah is with him.

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the Lord is with him.”

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite,[ that is] cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD[ is] with him.

One of his attendants replied,“ I have seen a son of Jesse in Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave warrior and is articulate and handsome, for the LORD is with him.”

Then one of the young men answered, and said,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and Yahweh is with him.”

The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of Samuel’s words fall to the ground.

David said to Saul,“ Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”Saul replied,“ You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.”But David said to Saul,“ Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock,I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it.Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.

The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.

The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.

Then even the bravest soldier, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a fighter and that those with him are brave.

Once these signs are fulfilled, do whatever your hand finds to do, for God is with you.

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Your servant Joab did this to change the present situation. My lord has wisdom like that of an angel of God— he knows everything that happens in the land.”

“ The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”( which means“ God with us”).

You know your father and his men; they are fighters, and as fierce as a wild bear robbed of her cubs. Besides, your father is an experienced fighter; he will not spend the night with the troops.

Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with David but had departed from Saul.So he sent David away from him and gave him command over a thousand men, and David led the troops in their campaigns.In everything he did he had great success, because the Lord was with him.
