One of the young men answered,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a man of good presence, and the Lord is with him.”

有一少者對曰、我嘗見伯利恆人耶西之子善鼓琴、大勇善戰、慎言語、美姿容、耶和華亦偕之、

一僕曰、我素知伯利恆人耶西之子、善鼓琴、英武善戰、中藏智慧、丰采甚都、為耶和華所佑。

臣僕中一人曰、我曾見伯利恆人耶西之一子、善於鼓琴、英武善戰、行事有謀、容貌俊美、為主所祐、

One of the servants answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave man and a warrior. He speaks well and is a fine-looking man. And the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants said,“ I’ve seen someone who knows how to play the harp. He is a son of Jesse from Bethlehem. He’s a brave man. He would make a good soldier. He’s a good speaker. He’s very handsome. And the Lord is with him.”

One of the servants said to Saul,“ One of Jesse’s sons from Bethlehem is a talented harp player. Not only that— he is a brave warrior, a man of war, and has good judgment. He is also a fine looking young man, and the Lord is with him.”

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the LORD is with him.”

Then one of the young men responded and said,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is a skillful musician, a valiant mighty man, a warrior, skillful in speech, and a handsome man; and the Lord is with him.”

Then one of the servants answered and said,“ Look, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and the Lord is with him.”

Then answered one of the young men, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth- lehemite, that is skilful in playing, and a mighty man of valor, and a man of war, and prudent in speech, and a comely person; and Jehovah is with him.

One of the young men answered,“ I have seen a son of Jesse of Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is also a valiant man, a warrior, eloquent, handsome, and the Lord is with him.”

Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite,[ that is] cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the LORD[ is] with him.

One of his attendants replied,“ I have seen a son of Jesse in Bethlehem who knows how to play the lyre. He is a brave warrior and is articulate and handsome, for the LORD is with him.”

Then one of the young men answered, and said,“ Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite who is skillful in playing, a mighty man of valor, a man of war, prudent in speech, and a handsome person; and Yahweh is with him.”

And Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him and let none of his words fall to the ground.

And David said to Saul,“ Let no man’s heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine.”And Saul said to David,“ You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him, for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.”But David said to Saul,“ Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock,I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him.Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God.”

The keeper of the prison paid no attention to anything that was in Joseph’s charge, because the Lord was with him. And whatever he did, the Lord made it succeed.

The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.

Then even the valiant man, whose heart is like the heart of a lion, will utterly melt with fear, for all Israel knows that your father is a mighty man, and that those who are with him are valiant men.

Now when these signs meet you, do what your hand finds to do, for God is with you.

Saul was afraid of David because the Lord was with him but had departed from Saul.So Saul removed him from his presence and made him a commander of a thousand. And he went out and came in before the people.And David had success in all his undertakings, for the Lord was with him.
