耶和華的靈必大大感動你，你就要與他們一同受感說話，變成另一個人。

你喜愛公義，恨惡不法，所以，神，就是你的神，用喜樂的油膏抹你，勝過膏抹你的同伴。”

那時耶和華的靈臨到耶弗他身上，他就經過基列和瑪拿西，經過基列的米斯巴，又從基列的米斯巴去到亞捫人那裡。

耶和華對摩西說：“你要揀選嫩的兒子約書亞，他心裡有聖靈，你要按手在他頭上，

神所差來的那一位講神的話，因為神把聖靈無限地賜給他。

從耶西的樹幹必生出一根嫩芽，從他的根而出的枝條必結果子。耶和華的靈必停留在他身上，就是智慧的靈和聰明的靈，謀略的靈和能力的靈，知識的靈和敬畏耶和華的靈。他必以敬畏耶和華為樂。他不憑眼睛所見的施行審判，也不憑耳朵所聽的斷定是非；

掃羅聽了這些話，神的靈大大感動他，他就非常忿怒。

在瑪哈尼．但（“瑪哈尼．但”意即“但的軍營”），就是在瑣拉和以實陶中間，耶和華的靈開始感動參孫。

耶和華的靈大大感動參孫，他雖然手裡沒有武器，竟把獅子撕裂，像人撕裂山羊羔一樣；他沒有把他所作的這事告訴他的父母。

有一個僕人回答：“我見過伯利恆人耶西的一個兒子，他善於彈琴，是個大能的勇士，又是個戰士，談吐合宜，容貌俊美，耶和華也與他同在。”

我要在那裡降臨，與你說話，也要把在你身上的靈，分給他們，他們就與你一同擔當管理人民的責任，免得你獨自擔當。

耶戶就起來，進了屋子；先知門徒就把油倒在耶戶的頭上，對他說：“以色列的神耶和華這樣說：‘我膏立你作王，統治耶和華的人民以色列。
