Saul said,“ I have sinned. Please honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel. Come back with me so I can bow in worship to the Lord your God.”

扫罗说：“我有罪了，虽然如此，求你在我百姓的长老和以色列人面前抬举我，同我回去，我好敬拜耶和华你的神。”

扫罗说：“我有罪了。现在求你在我百姓的长老和以色列人面前尊重我，同我回去，我好敬拜耶和华—你的上帝。”

扫罗说：“我有罪了。现在求你在我百姓的长老和以色列人面前尊重我，同我回去，我好敬拜耶和华—你的神。”

扫罗说：“我犯了罪，但求你在以色列的长老和百姓面前尊重我，求你跟我回去，我好敬拜你的上帝耶和华。”

扫罗说：“我犯了罪了，但是求你在我人民的长老面前和以色列人面前给我面子，与我一同回去，我好敬拜耶和华你的神。”

扫罗说：“我犯罪了！现在请你在我子民的长老们面前和以色列人面前尊重我，与我一同回去，让我敬拜耶和华你的神。”

掃羅說：「我有罪了，雖然如此，求你在我百姓的長老和以色列人面前擡舉我，同我回去，我好敬拜耶和華－你的神。」

掃羅說：「我犯了罪，但求你在以色列的長老和百姓面前尊重我，求你跟我回去，我好敬拜你的上帝耶和華。」

掃羅說：“我犯了罪了，但是求你在我人民的長老面前和以色列人面前給我面子，與我一同回去，我好敬拜耶和華你的神。”

掃羅說：『我有罪了，求你當着我人民的長老面前、也當着以色列人面前、尊重尊重我，同我回去，我好敬拜永恆主你的上帝。』

掃羅說：「我犯罪了！現在請你在我子民的長老們面前和以色列人面前尊重我，與我一同回去，讓我敬拜耶和華你的神。」

掃羅曰、我干罪矣、雖然、求爾於我民之長老、及以色列眾前尊我、偕我旋歸、俾我崇拜爾上帝耶和華、

曰、我雖犯罪、求爾於以色列族及長老前、尊崇我、偕我旋歸、待我奉事爾之上帝耶和華。

掃羅曰、我誠有罪、然求爾於我民之長老前、及以色列人前尊重我、偕我旋歸、待我崇拜主爾之天主、

Saul replied,“ I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel; come back with me, so that I may worship the Lord your God.”

Saul replied,“ I have sinned. But please honor me in front of the elders of my people and in front of Israel. Come back with me so I can worship the Lord your God.”

Then he said,“ I have sinned; yet honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may bow before the Lord your God.”

Then Saul pleaded again,“ I know I have sinned. But please, at least honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel by coming back with me so that I may worship the Lord your God.”

Saul said,“ I have sinned. Please honor me now before the elders of my people and before Israel. Come back with me so I can bow in worship to the LORD your God.”

Then Saul said,“ I have sinned; but please honor me now before the elders of my people and before all Israel, and go back with me, so that I may worship the Lord your God.”

Then he said,“ I have sinned; yet honor me now, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel, and return with me, that I may worship the Lord your God.”

Then he said, I have sinned: yet honor me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship Jehovah thy God.

Then he said, I have sinned:[ yet] honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.

Saul again replied,“ I have sinned. But please honor me before the elders of my people and before Israel. Go back with me so I may worship the LORD your God.”

Then he said,“ I have sinned; yet please honor me now before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and come back with me, that I may worship Yahweh your God.”

How can you believe? While accepting glory from one another, you don’t seek the glory that comes from the only God.

For they loved praise from men more than praise from God.

The Lord said: Because these people approach Me with their mouths to honor Me with lip-service— yet their hearts are far from Me, and their worship consists of man-made rules learned by rote—

He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and looked down on everyone else:“ Two men went up to the temple complex to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee took his stand and was praying like this:‘ God, I thank You that I’m not like other people— greedy, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I give a tenth of everything I get.’“ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes to heaven but kept striking his chest and saying,‘ God, turn Your wrath from me— a sinner!’I tell you, this one went down to his house justified rather than the other; because everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Look, his ego is inflated; he is without integrity. But the righteous one will live by his faith.

holding to the form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people!
