此城及凡其中所有、或歸主、或當滅、惟妓拉哈曾匿我所遣之使、可生存與其全家、物歸於主或為當滅者、爾自慎、勿取之、取之則成為當滅者、並使以色列全營亦為當滅者、陷之於禍、至於一切金銀及銅鐵器皿、悉歸於主為聖、收入主旨府庫、於是祭司吹角、民號呼、民既聞角聲、即大聲號呼、城墻塌陷、民各向迎面處、直入城中而取其城、以刃盡滅城中所有之男女老幼、牛羊與驢、

今當以俘囚中一切男子、及與男子已親近之婦女皆殺、

謂亞當曰、爾既聽婦言、食我所禁食之樹果、地必緣爾見詛、爾必畢生勞苦、始得食地之所產、地必為爾叢生荊棘、爾必食田之蔬、

其子孫緣祖父之罪當戮、免其復興而獲地、使強暴者遍於世間、使強暴者遍於世間或作使世充滿城邑萬有之主曰、我必興起、懲罰巴比倫、塗抹其名、滅其遺民、絕其子孫苗裔、此乃主所言、

則當以刃擊其邑之居民、以刃盡滅其邑與其中所有以及牲畜、聚其貨財於市中、為主爾之天主將邑及其貨財、皆以火焚燬淨盡、使其邑永為荒邱、毋得再建、

毋跪拜、毋崇事、蓋我耶和華爾之天主、乃忌邪之天主、或作不容人崇奉別神惡我者、我必討其罪、以及子孫、至三四代、

惟人所永獻於主者、無論人畜田業、悉不得鬻、亦不得贖、凡永獻者、乃至聖歸於主、凡人所永獻者、毋贖當宰、

萬物歸於虛、非其所願、乃有使之者、然仍有望、萬物終必得釋於敗毀、不復為其奴、得享天主眾子自由之榮、我儕知萬物共歎劬勞、直至於今、
