巴蘭看見了亞瑪力，就作歌，說：“亞瑪力原是列國之首，他的結局卻是滅亡。”

只是在耶和華你的神賜給你作產業的這些國民的城市裡，凡有氣息的，連一個你也不可讓他活著；只要照著耶和華你的神吩咐你的，把赫人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人，完全滅絕；免得他們教導你們學習一切可憎的事，就是他們對自己的神所行的事，以致你們得罪耶和華你們的神。

又用刀擊殺了祭司城挪伯，無論男女，孩童或吃奶的嬰兒，牛驢或羊，都用刀殺盡。

這城要完全毀滅，城和城中的一切都歸耶和華；只有妓女喇合，和所有與她在家中的都可以存活，因為她收藏了我們派去的使者。不過你們要謹慎，不可取那當毀滅的物，恐怕你們貪心，取了那當毀滅的物，就使以色列營成為當毀滅的，使以色列營遭遇災禍。可是，所有的金銀和銅鐵的器皿，都要歸耶和華為聖，存入耶和華的庫房中。”於是人民呼喊，祭司也吹角。人民聽見角聲的時候，就大聲呼喊，城牆就塌陷了；於是，人民衝入城中，人人向前，把城攻取。他們把城中的一切，無論男女老幼、牛羊和驢，都用刀殺盡。

現在你們要把所有的男孩都殺了，也要殺死所有與男人發生過關係的婦人。

耶和華神又對亞當說：“因為你聽從了你妻子的話，吃了我吩咐你不可吃的那樹上的果子；地就必因你的緣故受咒詛；你必終生勞苦，才能從地裡得吃的。地要給你長出荊棘和蒺藜來；你也要吃田間的蔬菜；

因為他們的祖宗犯了罪孽，你們要為他的子孫預備屠殺之處；不要讓他們興起來，佔有地土，在世上布滿城鎮。”萬軍之耶和華說：“我必興起攻擊他們，把巴比倫的名號、所剩餘的人，以及後裔子孫，都一同剪除。”這是耶和華說的。

你就要用刀劍把那城裡的居民殺掉，把那城和城裡的一切，以及牲畜，都用刀劍完全毀滅。並且把從城裡掠奪的一切戰利品，都要收集在那城的廣場上，用火把城和在城裡掠奪的一切戰利品焚燒，獻給耶和華你的神；那城就要永遠成為廢墟，不可再建造。

不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華你們的神是忌邪的神；恨惡我的，我必追討他們的罪，從父親到兒子，直到三四代。

“一切永屬耶和華的聖物，就是人永獻給耶和華的物，無論是人或是牲畜，或是他承受作產業的田地，都不可以變賣，也不可以贖回；一切永獻之物都是歸耶和華為至聖的。如果有人永獻牲畜作永屬耶和華的聖物，就不可贖回；必須把牠殺死。

因為被造的萬物服在虛空之下，不是自己願意這樣，而是由於使它屈服的那一位；被造的萬物盼望自己得著釋放，脫離敗壞的奴役，得著神兒女榮耀的自由。我們知道被造的萬物直到現在都一同在痛苦呻吟。
