今爾不守厥命、故爾國祚不永耶和華更簡一人、合乎其意、使為民長。

故耶和華曰、爾既教民、逆予所命、故爾死期必在今年、不留於世。

凡焚獻子女、及卜筮術數、占師巫覡、或左道、或崇憑於卜神者、或為巫覡、或用術而招魂者、俱勿留於四境之內、

拜偶像、用巫術、結仇、爭鬥、媢嫉、憤怒、朋黨、釁隙、異端、

故我云、必罰之、爰及苗裔、彼使人違我、故我錫福於斯民、彼不得享、彼之子孫、必絕滅於民間。

告之曰、耶和華會眾云、爾今日何干犯以色列族之上帝、不從耶和華更築壇、違耶和華命。昔在比耳、我儕犯罪、耶和華降災會眾、至今罪未盡赦、其事豈微細哉。今日爾曹不從耶和華、違逆其命、恐明日耶和華怒以色列會眾。如爾所得之地、以為不潔、則歸耶和華會幕所立之地、在我儕中得業亦可、但勿違耶和華及我、除我上帝耶和華壇外、勿更築壇。

彼忤逆之流、無論聽否、必知先知已至其中。惟爾人子、毋庸畏葸、彼悖逆殘賊、爾居其中、若與蠍同處、勿懼其言、毋畏其威。彼甚悖逆、爾當以我言告之、無論聽否、惟爾人子、宜聽我言、爾毋若彼悖逆、爾當啟口、食我所賜。

有憑於卜神、而為巫覡者、殺無赦、其罪歸之、當擊以石。

爾之前事、當憶弗忘、爾在曠野、干爾上帝耶和華震怒、自出埃及之日、越至於此、違逆耶和華。

我子所羅門、宜知爾父之上帝、誠心悅意事之、蓋耶和華鑒察人心、知悉人意、求之無弗得、遺之永見棄。

自我識爾之日、爾橫逆耶和華、

拉班往剪羊毛、所藏偶像、拉結竊焉。

凡猶豫不信、可憎兇暴淫亂巫覡、拜偶像、言誕妄者、皆必受苦於火坑、坑有硫火、沒後之沉淪如此、

以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、我昔有言、爾祖之家、將恆供我役、今我不然、凡尊敬我者、我尊顯之、藐視我者、亦必藐視之。

凡梟獍、巫覡、淫亂、兇暴、拜偶像、好誑言者、出之邑外、

如爾畏耶和華、聽從其命、不背其道、則治爾之王、爰及爾曹、俱蒙爾上帝耶和華錫嘏。如所命勿遵、其道不從、則耶和華必降災於爾、與降災於爾祖無異。

耶和華謂撒母耳曰、掃羅為以色列王、我不永其祚、汝為懷憂、伊於何底。可盛膏於角、我將遣爾至伯利恆人耶西所、其眾子中我簡其一、立之為王。

昔上帝與列祖立約、斯民背之、棄其所命、違其禮儀、崇事虛無、亦為放誕、四周之異邦人、耶和華曾命、勿效其尤、彼不聽從、反崇信焉、棄其上帝耶和華之命、鑄二金犢、樹立木偶、崇拜天象、奉事巴力、焚獻子女、專用卜筮、維惡是務、干耶和華震怒。故耶和華怒以色列族、驅於其前、靡有孑遺、所餘者惟猶大族而已。猶大族亦不守其上帝耶和華之誡命、從以色列族所擅立之禮儀。耶和華棄以色列族苗裔、降以禍災、為人所虜、驅於其前、

拉結以偶像置之駝鞍下、而坐其上。拉班徧索不獲。

或曰、維彼巫覡、及為神所憑者、何不問焉、其聲綿蠻、其音微細。則應之曰、人豈不當問於上帝哉、生人之事、詢於死者、亦奚以為。

憑於卜神、而為巫覡。有狥欲以從者、我必罰之、絕於民中。

上帝之殿、木偶之像、何同之有、夫爾固永生上帝之殿也、上帝曰吾將居其內、遊其間、吾為彼上帝、彼為我民、

莫叛耶和華、莫畏斯土之民、我得耶和華庇佑、彼無所扞衛、必為我並吞、故勿危懼、

巫者罪當死。
