撒母耳对扫罗说：“从前你虽然以自己为小，岂不是被立为以色列支派的元首吗？耶和华膏你作以色列的王。

撒母耳说：“你虽然看自己为小，你岂不是作了以色列诸支派的元首吗？耶和华膏你作了以色列的王。

撒母耳说：“你虽然看自己为小，你岂不是作了以色列诸支派的元首吗？耶和华膏你作了以色列的王。

撒母耳说：“虽然你从前觉得自己微不足道，但现在却做了以色列各支派的首领。耶和华膏立你做以色列的王。

撒母耳说：“从前你虽然自以为微小，不是作了以色列众支派的首领吗？耶和华膏立了你作以色列的王，

撒母耳说：“虽然你看自己微小，但你难道不是以色列众支派的首领吗？耶和华膏立你为以色列的王。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「從前你雖然以自己為小，豈不是被立為以色列支派的元首嗎？耶和華膏你作以色列的王。

撒母耳說：「雖然你從前覺得自己微不足道，但現在卻做了以色列各支派的首領。耶和華膏立你做以色列的王。

撒母耳說：“從前你雖然自以為微小，不是作了以色列眾支派的首領嗎？耶和華膏立了你作以色列的王，

撒母耳說：『你雖曾自看為微小，你豈不是以色列族派的元首麼？永恆主膏立了你為王來管理以色列；

撒母耳說：「雖然你看自己微小，但你難道不是以色列眾支派的首領嗎？耶和華膏立你為以色列的王。

撒母耳曰、昔爾自視雖微、非立為以色列支派之長乎、耶和華膏爾為以色列王、

撒母耳曰、昔爾自視甚微、耶和華簡爾為支派之長、以膏沐爾、立為以色列族王。

撒母耳曰、昔爾自視甚微時、得選為昔爾自視甚微時得選為或作爾雖自視甚微仍為以色列諸支派之元首、主已膏爾立為以色列之王、

Samuel said,“ Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.

Samuel said,“ There was a time when you didn’t think you were important. But you became the leader of the tribes of Israel. The Lord anointed you to be king over Israel.

And Samuel said,“ Though you are little in your own eyes, are you not the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.

And Samuel told him,“ Although you may think little of yourself, are you not the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord has anointed you king of Israel.

Samuel continued,“ Although you once considered yourself unimportant, haven’t you become the leader of the tribes of Israel? The LORD anointed you king over Israel

So Samuel said,“ Is it not true, though you were insignificant in your own eyes, that you became the head of the tribes of Israel? For the Lord anointed you as king over Israel.

So Samuel said,“ When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel?

And Samuel said, Though thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel? And Jehovah anointed thee king over Israel;

Samuel continued,“ Although you once considered yourself unimportant, have you not become the leader of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel

And Samuel said, When thou[ wast] little in thine own sight,[ wast] thou not[ made] the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed thee king over Israel?

Samuel said,“ Is it not true that when you were insignificant in your own eyes, you became head of the tribes of Israel? The LORD chose you as king over Israel.

Samuel said,“ Though you were little in your own sight, weren’t you made the head of the tribes of Israel? Yahweh anointed you king over Israel;

Saul answered,“ But am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest tribe of Israel, and is not my clan the least of all the clans of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you say such a thing to me?” (niv)

Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying,“ Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance? (niv)

So they inquired further of the Lord,“ Has the man come here yet?” And the Lord said,“ Yes, he has hidden himself among the supplies.” (niv)

“ Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied,“ but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” (niv)

Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (niv)

Samuel said to Saul,“ I am the one the Lord sent to anoint you king over his people Israel; so listen now to the message from the Lord.This is what the Lord Almighty says:‘ I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt.Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’” (niv)

When Ephraim spoke, people trembled; he was exalted in Israel. But he became guilty of Baal worship and died. (niv)
