撒母耳对扫罗说：“耶和华派遣我来膏立你为王，统治他的子民以色列，所以，你现在要听从耶和华的命令。

撒母耳對掃羅說：『永恆主是差遣了我來膏立你為王管理他人民以色列的；所以你要聽永恆主所說的話。

撒母耳對掃羅說：「耶和華派遣我來膏立你為王，統治他的子民以色列，所以，你現在要聽從耶和華的命令。

撒母耳謂掃羅曰、昔耶和華遣我膏爾、立為其民以色列之王、今爾當聽耶和華言、

撒母耳告掃羅曰、我奉耶和華所遣、以膏沐爾、使為以色列民之王、今耶和華之命爾當聽從。

Samuel said to Saul,“ I am the one the Lord sent to anoint you king over his people Israel; so listen now to the message from the Lord.

Samuel said to Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over his people Israel. So listen now to a message from him.

And Samuel said to Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you king over his people Israel; now therefore listen to the words of the Lord.

One day Samuel said to Saul,“ It was the Lord who told me to anoint you as king of his people, Israel. Now listen to this message from the Lord!

Samuel told Saul,“ The LORD sent me to anoint you as king over his people Israel. Now, listen to the words of the LORD.

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people, over Israel; now therefore, listen to the words of the Lord.

Samuel also said to Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the Lord.

And Samuel said unto Saul, Jehovah sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of Jehovah.

Samuel told Saul,“ The Lord sent me to anoint you as king over His people Israel. Now, listen to the words of the Lord.

Samuel also said unto Saul, The LORD sent me to anoint thee[ to be] king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the LORD.

Then Samuel said to Saul,“ I was the one the LORD sent to anoint you as king over his people Israel. Now listen to what the LORD says.

Samuel said to Saul,“ Yahweh sent me to anoint you to be king over his people, over Israel. Now therefore listen to the voice of Yahweh’s words.

“ About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him ruler over my people Israel; he will deliver them from the hand of the Philistines. I have looked on my people, for their cry has reached me.” (niv)

Then Samuel took a flask of olive oil and poured it on Saul’s head and kissed him, saying,“ Has not the Lord anointed you ruler over his inheritance? (niv)

Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth.Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. (niv)

“ The Spirit of the Lord spoke through me; his word was on my tongue.The God of Israel spoke, the Rock of Israel said to me:‘ When one rules over people in righteousness, when he rules in the fear of God, (niv)

“ You have done a foolish thing,” Samuel said.“ You have not kept the command the Lord your God gave you; if you had, he would have established your kingdom over Israel for all time. (niv)

If you fear the Lord and serve and obey him and do not rebel against his commands, and if both you and the king who reigns over you follow the Lord your God— good! (niv)

“ Enough!” Samuel said to Saul.“ Let me tell you what the Lord said to me last night.”“ Tell me,” Saul replied.Samuel said,“ Although you were once small in your own eyes, did you not become the head of the tribes of Israel? The Lord anointed you king over Israel.And he sent you on a mission, saying,‘ Go and completely destroy those wicked people, the Amalekites; wage war against them until you have wiped them out.’ (niv)

May the Lord give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the Lord your God.Then you will have success if you are careful to observe the decrees and laws that the Lord gave Moses for Israel. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. (niv)
