So Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” And Jonathan told him, and said,“ I did indeed taste a little honey with the end of the staff that was in my hand. Here I am, I must die!”

扫罗对约拿单说：“你告诉我，你做了什么事？”约拿单说：“我实在以手里的杖，用杖头蘸了一点蜜尝了一尝。这样我就死吗？”

扫罗对约拿单说：“你告诉我，你做了什么事？”约拿单说：“我只是用手中的杖，以杖头蘸了一点蜜尝尝，看哪，我就要死吗？”

扫罗对约拿单说：“你告诉我，你做了什么事？”约拿单说：“我只是用手中的杖，以杖头蘸了一点蜜尝尝，看哪，我就要死吗？”

扫罗对约拿单说：“告诉我，你做了什么事？”约拿单说：“我只不过用手中的杖蘸了一点蜂蜜吃，就得死吗？”

扫罗对约拿单说：“告诉我，你作了什么事？”约拿单告诉他：“我用我手中的杖头尝了一点蜂蜜。我在这里，我愿意死！”

扫罗对约拿单说：“告诉我，你做了什么？”约拿单就告诉他说：“我只是用手杖尖蘸了一点蜂蜜吃，我这样就必须死吗？”

掃羅對約拿單說：「你告訴我，你做了甚麼事？」約拿單說：「我實在以手裏的杖，用杖頭蘸了一點蜜嘗了一嘗。這樣我就死嗎？」

掃羅對約拿單說：“告訴我，你作了甚麼事？”約拿單告訴他：“我用我手中的杖頭嘗了一點蜂蜜。我在這裡，我願意死！”

掃羅對約拿單說：『告訴我，你幹了甚麼事了？』約拿單告訴掃羅說：『我真地用我手中的杖頭蘸了一點蜜嘗一嘗；看哪，我在這裏；我準備死。』

掃羅對約拿單說：「告訴我，你做了什麼？」約拿單就告訴他說：「我只是用手杖尖蘸了一點蜂蜜吃，我這樣就必須死嗎？」

掃羅謂約拿單曰、爾以所為告我、約拿單曰、我誠以所執之杖端、嘗蜜少許、我必死也、

掃羅問約拿單曰、爾何所為、明以告我。約拿單曰、我僅以所執之杖、嘗蜜少許、何至於死。

掃羅謂約拿單曰、爾何所為、明以告我、約拿單告之曰、我手執杖、以杖頭濡蜜少許而嘗之、我在此、如當死則死矣、

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” So Jonathan told him,“ I tasted a little honey with the end of my staff. And now I must die!”

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” So Jonathan told him,“ I used the end of my stick to get a little honey and taste it. And now do I have to die?”

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” And Jonathan told him,“ I tasted a little honey with the tip of the staff that was in my hand. Here I am; I will die.”

“ Tell me what you have done,” Saul demanded of Jonathan.“ I tasted a little honey,” Jonathan admitted.“ It was only a little bit on the end of my stick. Does that deserve death?”

Saul commanded him,“ Tell me what you did.” Jonathan told him,“ I tasted a little honey with the end of the staff I was carrying. I am ready to die!”

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” And Jonathan told him, and said,“ I only tasted a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand. So now I must die!”

Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did certainly taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand; and, lo, I must die.

Saul commanded him,“ Tell me what you did.” Jonathan told him,“ I tasted a little honey with the end of the staff I was carrying. I am ready to die!”

Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou hast done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that[ was] in mine hand,[ and], lo, I must die.

So Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done.” Jonathan told him,“ I used the end of the staff that was in my hand to taste a little honey. I must die!”

Then Saul said to Jonathan,“ Tell me what you have done!” Jonathan told him, and said,“ I certainly did taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in my hand; and behold, I must die.”

Then Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.”

However, Jonathan had not heard it when his father put the people under oath; so he put out the end of the staff that was in his hand and dipped it in the honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth, and his eyes brightened.

And each man said to his mate,“ Come, let’s cast lots so that we may find out on whose account this catastrophe has struck us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.Then they said to him,“ Tell us, now! On whose account has this catastrophe struck us? What is your occupation, and where do you come from? What is your country, and from what people are you?”So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.”Then the men became extremely afraid, and they said to him,“ How could you do this?” For the men knew that he was fleeing from the presence of the Lord, because he had told them.
