掃羅說：「你們百姓中的長老都上這裏來，查明今日是誰犯了罪。

掃羅說：「百姓中的眾領袖，你們都要近前來到這裏，查明今日這罪是怎樣發生的。

掃羅說：「百姓中的眾領袖，你們都要近前來到這裏，查明今日這罪是怎樣發生的。

掃羅說：「你們這些百姓的首領到這裡來，我們要查出今天究竟誰犯了罪，

掃羅說：“民間的眾領袖啊，你們都要走近這裡來；你們要查看今天我們犯了甚麼罪。

掃羅說：『人民所有的中堅人物啊，你們都要走近前來到這裏，來察知、來看明今天這罪是在哪裏。

掃羅說：「所有軍兵的首領，你們都上這裡來，要查看今天這罪是怎麼發生的！

掃羅曰、爾民長俱前來、察知今日之罪何在、

掃羅曰、惟爾民長、咸必前來、欲知今日誰干罪戾、

掃羅曰、惟爾民長、咸當來此、究察今日之罪因何故、或作今日誰干罪戾

Saul therefore said,“ Come here, all you who are leaders of the army, and let us find out what sin has been committed today.

Saul said to the leaders of the army,“ Come here. Let’s find out what sin has been committed today.

And Saul said,“ Come here, all you leaders of the people, and know and see how this sin has arisen today.

Then Saul said to the leaders,“ Something’s wrong! I want all my army commanders to come here. We must find out what sin was committed today.

Saul said,“ All you leaders of the troops, come here. Let’s investigate how this sin has occurred today.

Then Saul said,“ Come here, all you leaders of the people, and investigate and see how this sin has happened today.

And Saul said,“ Come over here, all you chiefs of the people, and know and see what this sin was today.

And Saul said, Draw nigh hither, all ye chiefs of the people; and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.

Saul said,“ All you leaders of the troops, come here. Let us investigate how this sin has occurred today.

And Saul said, Draw ye near hither, all the chief of the people: and know and see wherein this sin hath been this day.

Then Saul said,“ All you leaders of the army come here. Find out how this sin occurred today.

But you have today rejected your God, who himself saves you out of all your calamities and your distresses; and you have said to him,‘ No! Set a king over us.’ Now therefore present yourselves before Yahweh by your tribes, and by your thousands.”So Samuel brought all the tribes of Israel near, and the tribe of Benjamin was chosen.

The chiefs of all the people, even of all the tribes of Israel, presented themselves in the assembly of the people of God, four hundred thousand footmen who drew sword.

From him will come the cornerstone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every ruler together.

Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken some of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.

Jesus said to them,“ Did you never read in the Scriptures,‘ The stone which the builders rejected was made the head of the corner. This was from the Lord. It is marvelous in our eyes?’

But the people said,“ You shall not go out; for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us. But you are worth ten thousand of us. Therefore now it is better that you are ready to help us out of the city.”

In the morning therefore you shall be brought near by your tribes. It shall be that the tribe which Yahweh selects shall come near by families. The family which Yahweh selects shall come near by households. The household which Yahweh selects shall come near man by man.It shall be, that he who is taken with the devoted thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed Yahweh’s covenant, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.’”So Joshua rose up early in the morning and brought Israel near by their tribes. The tribe of Judah was selected.He brought near the family of Judah, and he selected the family of the Zerahites. He brought near the family of the Zerahites man by man, and Zabdi was selected.He brought near his household man by man, and Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was selected.Joshua said to Achan,“ My son, please give glory to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and make confession to him. Tell me now what you have done! Don’t hide it from me!”Achan answered Joshua, and said,“ I have truly sinned against Yahweh, the God of Israel, and this is what I have done.When I saw among the plunder a beautiful Babylonian robe, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, then I coveted them and took them. Behold, they are hidden in the ground in the middle of my tent, with the silver under it.”So Joshua sent messengers, and they ran to the tent. Behold, it was hidden in his tent, with the silver under it.They took them from the middle of the tent, and brought them to Joshua and to all the children of Israel. They laid them down before Yahweh.Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, the silver, the robe, the wedge of gold, his sons, his daughters, his cattle, his donkeys, his sheep, his tent, and all that he had; and they brought them up to the valley of Achor.Joshua said,“ Why have you troubled us? Yahweh will trouble you today.” All Israel stoned him with stones, and they burned them with fire and stoned them with stones.They raised over him a great heap of stones that remains to this day. Yahweh turned from the fierceness of his anger. Therefore the name of that place was called“ The valley of Achor” to this day.

being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;

I see him, but not now. I see him, but not near. A star will come out of Jacob. A scepter will rise out of Israel, and shall strike through the corners of Moab, and crush all the sons of Sheth.

The princes of the peoples are gathered together, the people of the God of Abraham. For the shields of the earth belong to God. He is greatly exalted!
