于是，扫罗求问上帝，说：“耶和华啊，我们可以去追杀非利士人吗？你会把他们交在以色列人手里吗？”但耶和华那日没有回答他。

扫罗求问神说：“我下去追赶非利士人可以不可以？你将他们交在以色列人手里不交？”这日神没有回答他。

掃羅求問神說：「我下去追趕非利士人可以不可以？你將他們交在以色列人手裏不交？」這日神沒有回答他。

掃羅求問上帝說：「我可以下去追趕非利士人嗎？你把他們交在以色列人手裏嗎？」這日上帝沒有回答他。

掃羅求問神說：「我可以下去追趕非利士人嗎？你把他們交在以色列人手裏嗎？」這日神沒有回答他。

於是，掃羅求問上帝，說：「耶和華啊，我們可以去追殺非利士人嗎？你會把他們交在以色列人手裡嗎？」但耶和華那日沒有回答他。

掃羅求問神：“我可以下去追趕非利士人嗎？你把他們交在以色列人的手裡嗎？”那天神沒有回答他。

掃羅求問上帝說：『我下去追趕非利士人可以不可以？你將他們交在以色列人手裏不交？』這一天上帝沒有回答他。

掃羅諮諏上帝曰、我追襲非利士人可否、爾付之於以色列人手乎、是日上帝不之應、

掃羅詢於上帝、非利士人今日可襲之乎。爾其以之付於以色列人手乎。是日上帝無所應。

掃羅問於天主曰、我追非利士人可否、主付之於以色列人手否、是日天主不垂告、

So Saul asked God,“ Shall I go down and pursue the Philistines? Will you give them into Israel’s hand?” But God did not answer him that day.

So Saul asked God,“ Should I go down and chase after the Philistines? Will you hand them over to Israel?” But God didn’t answer him that day.

And Saul inquired of God,“ Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will you give them into the hand of Israel?” But he did not answer him that day.

So Saul asked God,“ Should we go after the Philistines? Will you help us defeat them?” But God made no reply that day.

So Saul inquired of God,“ Should I go after the Philistines? Will you hand them over to Israel?” But God did not answer him that day.

So Saul inquired of God:“ Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will You hand them over to Israel?” But He did not answer him on that day.

So Saul asked counsel of God,“ Shall I go down after the Philistines? Will You deliver them into the hand of Israel?” But He did not answer him that day.

And Saul asked counsel of God, Shall I go down after the Philistines? wilt thou deliver them into the hand of Israel? But he answered him not that day.

So Saul inquired of God,“ Should I go after the Philistines? Will You hand them over to Israel?” But God did not answer him that day.

就求问耶和华，但耶和华没有借着梦、乌陵或先知回答他。

“人子啊，这些人在心里立起偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，我岂能让他们来求问？你告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘任何以色列人若在心里立起偶像，把导致犯罪的绊脚石放在自己面前，又来求问先知，我耶和华必按他心中假神的数目亲自用惩罚回答他，好夺回以色列人的心，他们因为拜偶像而远离我。’

大卫吩咐亚希米勒的儿子亚比亚他祭司把以弗得拿来，亚比亚他就拿给他。大卫求问耶和华，说：“我该追赶敌人吗？我能追上他们吗？”耶和华答道：“追赶他们吧，你必能追上他们，救回一切。”

大卫求问耶和华：“我可以去迎战非利士人吗？你会把他们交在我手里吗？”耶和华说：“去吧，我必把他们交在你手里。”

大卫知道了扫罗的计谋，便吩咐祭司亚比亚他把以弗得带来，然后说：“耶和华，以色列的上帝啊，仆人听说扫罗要来毁灭基伊拉，因为我在这里。基伊拉的人会不会把我交给扫罗呢？扫罗是不是像我听说的那样要来这里呢？耶和华，以色列的上帝啊，求你告诉我。”耶和华说：“扫罗一定会来。”大卫又问耶和华：“基伊拉的人会不会把我和我的部下交给扫罗呢？”耶和华说：“他们一定会。”

他们便求问耶和华，说：“这人来了吗？”耶和华说：“他来了，躲在行李堆中。”

约沙法又对以色列王说：“你要先求问耶和华。”

大卫又求问耶和华，耶和华说：“你不要正面出击，要绕到他们后面，从桑林对面攻打他们。

以色列人到伯特利去求问上帝，说：“我们当中哪个支派应当先去攻打便雅悯人呢？”耶和华说：“犹大支派。”

约书亚去世以后，以色列人求问耶和华：“我们哪一个支派先上去攻打迦南人呢？”

米该雅来到以色列王面前，王就问他：“米该雅啊，我可不可以去攻打基列的拉末？”米该雅回答说：“上去攻打吧，一定得胜，耶和华必将那城交在王手中。”

“人子啊，你要告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘你们是来求问我吗？我凭我的永恒起誓，我决不让你们求问。’

大卫再求问耶和华，耶和华答道：“到基伊拉去吧，我一定把非利士人交在你手里。”
