They pounced on the plunder and, taking sheep, cattle and calves, they butchered them on the ground and ate them, together with the blood.

They grabbed what they had taken from their enemies. They killed some of the sheep, cattle and calves right there on the ground. They ate the meat while the blood was still in it.

The people pounced on the spoil and took sheep and oxen and calves and slaughtered them on the ground. And the people ate them with the blood.

That evening they rushed for the battle plunder and butchered the sheep, goats, cattle, and calves, but they ate them without draining the blood.

在你們一切的住所、一切脂肪、和一切的血、你們都不可喫：這要做你們世世代代永遠的條例。』

你為甚麼沒有聽永恆主的聽音，急於攫取掠得物，而行永恆主所看為壞的事呢？』

惟獨帶生命的肉，就是帶血的肉，你們卻不可喫。

『凡屬以色列家的人、或是你們中間寄居的外僑、喫任何血、我總要向那喫血的人板着臉，把他從他的族人中剪除掉。因為肉之生命是在於血；是我給了你們讓它在祭壇上為你們的生命行除罪禮的；因為是血（血是生命）在除罪的。故此我對以色列人說：你們中間一切的人都不可喫血；在你們中間寄居的外僑也不可喫血。凡以色列人、或是在你們中間寄居的外僑、打獵得了可喫的野味、無論是野獸是飛鳥，他總要插牠的血讓流出來，用塵土掩蓋上。因為凡有血肉的的生命、其血就等於其生命。所以我對以色列人說：凡有血肉的的血、你們都不可喫，因為凡有血肉的的生命、就是牠的血；凡喫血的必須被剪除。

『你們不可喫帶血的東西，不可觀兆頭，不可算命。

只是血就不可喫；要倒在地上、像倒水一樣。

只要寫信、叫他們禁戒偶像的觸污和淫亂、跟禁喫勒死的動物和血。

不過你要堅心決意地不喫血，因為血就是生命；你不可連生命帶肉都喫。你不可喫血；要倒在地上、像倒水一樣。

就是禁喫祭偶像的東西和血、跟勒死的動物，又禁戒淫亂：這幾件，請你們自己禁絕不犯，好好地實行。願你們安康！』

因此呢、你要對他們說；主永恆主這麼說：你們喫帶血之物，舉目瞻仰你們的偶像，並且殺人流人的血，你們還能擁有這地以為業麼？

在你們一切的住所、一切的血、無論是禽鳥的、是牲口的、你們都不可喫。無論甚麼人喫甚麼血，那人必須從他的族人中被剪除。』
