They pounced on the plunder and, taking sheep, cattle and calves, they butchered them on the ground and ate them, together with the blood.

They grabbed what they had taken from their enemies. They killed some of the sheep, cattle and calves right there on the ground. They ate the meat while the blood was still in it.

The people pounced on the spoil and took sheep and oxen and calves and slaughtered them on the ground. And the people ate them with the blood.

That evening they rushed for the battle plunder and butchered the sheep, goats, cattle, and calves, but they ate them without draining the blood.

任何脂肪和血你們都不可吃。這是你們在一切住處一條世代永存的律例。”

你為甚麼沒有聽從耶和華的話，急於奪取戰利品，作了耶和華看為惡的事呢？”

唯獨帶著生命的肉，就是帶著血的肉，你們卻不可吃。

“以色列家的任何人，或是在你們中間寄居的外人，如果吃了任何血，我必向那吃血的人變臉，把他從自己的族人中剪除。因為動物的生命是在血裡，我指定這祭壇上的血代替你們的生命，因為血裡有生命，所以能代贖生命。所以我對以色列人說：你們中間任何人都不可吃血，在你們中間寄居的外人也不可吃血。任何以色列人，或是在你們中間寄居的外人中，有人打獵得了可以吃的禽獸，總要放盡牠的血，用泥土掩蓋。“因為所有動物的生命就在牠們的血中（“因為所有動物的生命就在牠們的血中”直譯是“因為所有動物的生命就是牠的血；牠是在牠的生命裡”；或譯：“論到所有動物的生命，牠的血是在牠的生命裡”），所以我對以色列人說：任何動物的血，你們都不可吃；因為所有動物的血，就是牠的生命；吃血的，必被剪除。

“你們不可吃帶血的東西，不可占卜，不可算命。

只有血，你們不可吃；要倒在地上，像倒水一樣。

只要寫信叫他們禁戒偶像的污穢、淫亂，勒死的牲畜和血。

只是你要心意堅定，不可吃血，因為血就是生命；你不可把生命和肉一起吃。你不可吃血，要倒在地上，像倒水一樣。

就是禁戒祭過偶像的食物、血、勒死的牲畜和淫亂。這些事你們若能保守自己不作，那就好了。祝你們平安！”

因此，你要對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣說：你們吃帶血的祭肉，舉目仰望你們的偶像，並且流人的血，你們還可以得這地為業嗎？

在你們的一切住處，任何血，無論是飛鳥或是牲畜的，你們都不可吃。無論誰吃了甚麼血，那人必從自己的族人中被剪除。”
