They pounced on the plunder and, taking sheep, cattle and calves, they butchered them on the ground and ate them, together with the blood.

They grabbed what they had taken from their enemies. They killed some of the sheep, cattle and calves right there on the ground. They ate the meat while the blood was still in it.

That evening they rushed for the battle plunder and butchered the sheep, goats, cattle, and calves, but they ate them without draining the blood.

你們無論住在哪裡，都不可吃脂肪和血，這是你們世代永遠要遵守的條例。」

你為何不聽從祂的命令？你為何急於掠奪財物，做耶和華視為邪惡的事呢？」

只是你們不可吃帶血的肉，因為血就是生命。

「任何以色列人或寄居在以色列人中間的外族人若吃血，耶和華必嚴懲，把他從民中剷除。因為生命在血中，耶和華把血賜給你們，使你們可以用血在祭壇上為自己贖罪。血可以為人的生命贖罪。所以耶和華吩咐以色列人和寄居在以色列人中間的外族人不可吃血。以色列人或寄居在以色列人中間的外族人如果捕到可吃的鳥或獸，必須放盡牠的血，用土掩埋，因為眾生的生命都在血中。因此，耶和華吩咐以色列人不可吃任何動物的血，因為血就是生命。凡吃血的都要被剷除。

「不可吃帶血的肉，不可占卜或行巫術。

但你們不可吃血。要把血倒在地上，像倒水一樣。

我們只須寫信吩咐他們遠避被偶像玷污之物，不可淫亂，不可吃血和勒死的牲畜。

但你們不可吃血，因為血就是生命；你們不可把生命和肉一起吃，要把血倒在地上，像倒水一樣。

要遠避祭拜偶像的事，不可吃血，不可吃勒死的牲畜，不可淫亂。你們一一遵守這些事就好了。祝平安！」

但你要告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『你們吃帶血的肉，仰賴偶像，又殺人流血，怎能擁有這片土地呢？

你們無論住在哪裡，都不可吃鳥和獸的血。凡吃血的，要將他從民中剷除。」
