當日掃羅與民發誓、曰、毋食餱糧、迨夕乃可、犯者見詛、俟我盡報斯仇。因此以色列族不嘗食物、困憊特甚。

Now the Israelites were in distress that day, because Saul had bound the people under an oath, saying,“ Cursed be anyone who eats food before evening comes, before I have avenged myself on my enemies!” So none of the troops tasted food.

The Israelites became very hungry that day. That’s because Saul had forced the army to make a promise. He had said,“ None of you must eat any food before evening comes. You must not eat until I’ve paid my enemies back for what they did. If you do, may you be under a curse!” So none of the troops ate any food at all.

And the men of Israel had been hard pressed that day, so Saul had laid an oath on the people, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food until it is evening and I am avenged on my enemies.” So none of the people had tasted food.

Now the men of Israel were pressed to exhaustion that day, because Saul had placed them under an oath, saying,“ Let a curse fall on anyone who eats before evening— before I have full revenge on my enemies.” So no one ate anything all day,

and the men of Israel were worn out that day, for Saul had placed the troops under an oath:“ The man who eats food before evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies is cursed.” So none of the troops tasted any food.

Now the men of Israel were hard pressed on that day, for Saul had put the people under oath, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food before evening, and before I have avenged myself on my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food.

Joshua commanded them with an oath at that time, saying,“ Cursed is the man before Yahweh who rises up and builds this city Jericho. With the loss of his firstborn he will lay its foundation, and with the loss of his youngest son he will set up its gates.”

For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

With his mouth the godless man destroys his neighbor, but the righteous will be delivered through knowledge.

‘ Cursed is the man who makes an engraved or molten image, an abomination to Yahweh, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and sets it up in secret.’ All the people shall answer and say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who dishonors his father or his mother.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who removes his neighbor’s landmark.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who leads the blind astray on the road.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who withholds justice from the foreigner, fatherless, and widow.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife, because he dishonors his father’s bed.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who lies with any kind of animal.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who lies with his sister, his father’s daughter or his mother’s daughter.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who lies with his mother- in- law.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who secretly kills his neighbor.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who takes a bribe to kill an innocent person.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’‘ Cursed is he who doesn’t uphold the words of this law by doing them.’ All the people shall say,‘ Amen.’”

Now the men of Israel had sworn in Mizpah, saying,“ None of us will give his daughter to Benjamin as a wife.”The people came to Bethel and sat there until evening before God, and lifted up their voices, and wept severely.They said,“ Yahweh, the God of Israel, why has this happened in Israel, that there should be one tribe lacking in Israel today?”On the next day, the people rose early and built an altar there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings.The children of Israel said,“ Who is there among all the tribes of Israel who didn’t come up in the assembly to Yahweh?” For they had made a great oath concerning him who didn’t come up to Yahweh to Mizpah, saying,“ He shall surely be put to death.”

“ Because the leaders took the lead in Israel, because the people offered themselves willingly, be blessed, Yahweh!

When Israel had grown strong, they put the Canaanites to forced labor, and didn’t utterly drive them out.

even the God who executes vengeance for me, and subdues peoples under me.

But Jonathan didn’t hear when his father commanded the people with the oath. Therefore he put out the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in the honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes brightened.Then one of the people answered, and said,“ Your father directly commanded the people with an oath, saying,‘ Cursed is the man who eats food today.’” So the people were faint.Then Jonathan said,“ My father has troubled the land. Please look how my eyes have brightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.How much more, if perhaps the people had eaten freely today of the plunder of their enemies which they found? For now there has been no great slaughter among the Philistines.”

If any man doesn’t love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be cursed. Come, Lord!

“‘ No one devoted to destruction, who shall be devoted from among men, shall be ransomed. He shall surely be put to death.

Israel vowed a vow to Yahweh, and said,“ If you will indeed deliver this people into my hand, then I will utterly destroy their cities.”

The city shall be devoted, even it and all that is in it, to Yahweh. Only Rahab the prostitute shall live, she and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers that we sent.But as for you, only keep yourselves from what is devoted to destruction, lest when you have devoted it, you take of the devoted thing; so you would make the camp of Israel accursed and trouble it.But all the silver, gold, and vessels of bronze and iron are holy to Yahweh. They shall come into Yahweh’s treasury.”

Jephthah vowed a vow to Yahweh, and said,“ If you will indeed deliver the children of Ammon into my hand,then it shall be, that whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, it shall be Yahweh’s, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering.”
