Now the Israelites were in distress that day, because Saul had bound the people under an oath, saying,“ Cursed be anyone who eats food before evening comes, before I have avenged myself on my enemies!” So none of the troops tasted food.

The Israelites became very hungry that day. That’s because Saul had forced the army to make a promise. He had said,“ None of you must eat any food before evening comes. You must not eat until I’ve paid my enemies back for what they did. If you do, may you be under a curse!” So none of the troops ate any food at all.

And the men of Israel had been hard pressed that day, so Saul had laid an oath on the people, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food until it is evening and I am avenged on my enemies.” So none of the people had tasted food.

Now the men of Israel were pressed to exhaustion that day, because Saul had placed them under an oath, saying,“ Let a curse fall on anyone who eats before evening— before I have full revenge on my enemies.” So no one ate anything all day,

and the men of Israel were worn out that day, for Saul had placed the troops under an oath:“ The man who eats food before evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies is cursed.” So none of the troops tasted any food.

Now the men of Israel were hard pressed on that day, for Saul had put the people under oath, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food before evening, and before I have avenged myself on my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food.

“‘制造耶和华厌恶的雕像或铸像，工人手中做的，并且在暗处设立的，那人必受咒诅。’众民都要应声说：‘阿们。’“‘轻慢父母的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘移动邻舍地界的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘使瞎子走错路的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘对寄居的和孤儿寡妇屈枉正直的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘和父亲的妻子同寝的，必受咒诅，因为他揭开了他父亲的衣襟。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘和任何野兽同寝的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘和同父异母，或是同母异父的姊妹同寝的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘和岳母同寝的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘暗中杀害邻舍的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘接受贿赂杀人，流无辜人的血的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’“‘不坚守这律法的话去遵行的，必受咒诅。’众民都要说：‘阿们。’”

以色列人在米斯巴曾经起誓说：“我们中间不可有人把自己的女儿嫁给便雅悯人作妻子。”众人来到伯特利，在那里坐在神面前直到晚上，放声大哭，说：“耶和华以色列的神啊，今日以色列中缺少了一个支派，为什么在以色列中发生这事呢？”次日，众人清早起来，在那里筑了一座祭坛，献上燔祭和平安祭。以色列人彼此说：“以色列各支派中，谁没有与会众上到耶和华面前来呢？”因为他们曾经起过很严厉的誓，说：“不上米斯巴到耶和华面前的，必把他处死。”

“你们要称颂耶和华，因为以色列中有勇士，因为有人民自愿从军。

到以色列强盛了，就迫使迦南人作苦工，但没有把他们完全赶走。

他是那位为我伸冤的神，他使万民服在我的脚下。

约拿单没有听见他父亲叫众民所起的誓，所以伸出手中的杖，用杖头蘸在蜂房里，转手送进口里，他的眼睛就明亮了。众民中有一个人说：“你父亲曾经叫众人严严地起誓说：‘今天吃食物的，那人必受咒诅。’所以众人都疲乏了。”约拿单说：“我父亲连累了这地的人。你们看！我尝了这一点蜂蜜以后，我的眼睛就明亮了。今天众民若是随意吃了从他们的仇敌夺得的东西，不是更好吗？如今被击杀的非利士人，不是更多吗？”

如果有人不爱主，他就该受咒诅。主啊，愿你来！

如果有人永献牲畜作永属耶和华的圣物，就不可赎回；必须把它杀死。

于是以色列人向耶和华许愿，说：“如果你把这民交在我手里，我就必把他们的城尽行毁灭。”

这城要完全毁灭，城和城中的一切都归耶和华；只有妓女喇合，和所有与她在家中的都可以存活，因为她收藏了我们派去的使者。不过你们要谨慎，不可取那当毁灭的物，恐怕你们贪心，取了那当毁灭的物，就使以色列营成为当毁灭的，使以色列营遭遇灾祸。可是，所有的金银和铜铁的器皿，都要归耶和华为圣，存入耶和华的库房中。”

耶弗他向耶和华许愿，说：“如果你真的把亚扪人交在我手里，我从亚扪人那里平平安安回来的时候，无论谁先从我的家门出来迎接我，他就必归耶和华，我也必把他当作燔祭。”
