Now the Israelites were in distress that day, because Saul had bound the people under an oath, saying,“ Cursed be anyone who eats food before evening comes, before I have avenged myself on my enemies!” So none of the troops tasted food.

The Israelites became very hungry that day. That’s because Saul had forced the army to make a promise. He had said,“ None of you must eat any food before evening comes. You must not eat until I’ve paid my enemies back for what they did. If you do, may you be under a curse!” So none of the troops ate any food at all.

And the men of Israel had been hard pressed that day, so Saul had laid an oath on the people, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food until it is evening and I am avenged on my enemies.” So none of the people had tasted food.

Now the men of Israel were pressed to exhaustion that day, because Saul had placed them under an oath, saying,“ Let a curse fall on anyone who eats before evening— before I have full revenge on my enemies.” So no one ate anything all day,

and the men of Israel were worn out that day, for Saul had placed the troops under an oath:“ The man who eats food before evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies is cursed.” So none of the troops tasted any food.

Now the men of Israel were hard pressed on that day, for Saul had put the people under oath, saying,“ Cursed be the man who eats food before evening, and before I have avenged myself on my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food.

And the men of Israel were distressed that day, for Saul had placed the people under oath, saying,“ Cursed is the man who eats any food until evening, before I have taken vengeance on my enemies.” So none of the people tasted food.

之后，约书亚起誓说：“重建耶利哥城的人必定在耶和华面前受咒诅，他立地基的时候必死长子，建城门的时候必丧幼子。”

我可以证明，他们对上帝有热心，但不是基于真知。

不敬虔的张口败坏邻舍，义人却因知识获得拯救。

‘凡雕刻或铸造耶和华所憎恶的神像，并偷偷供奉的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡不尊敬父母的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡挪移邻居界石的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡故意带领盲人走错路的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘不公正地对待寄居者和孤儿寡妇的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡与父亲的妻妾乱伦，使父亲蒙羞的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡与兽交合的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡与同父或同母姊妹乱伦的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡与岳母乱伦的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡暗杀邻居的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡因收受贿赂而杀害无辜的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’‘凡不遵行这律法的必受咒诅！’全体民众要回答说，‘阿们！’

以色列人曾在米斯巴起誓不把女儿嫁给便雅悯人。他们来到伯特利，坐在上帝面前放声痛哭，直到黄昏。他们说：“以色列的上帝耶和华啊，以色列为何少了一个支派呢？为何发生了这样的事呢？”第二天，众人清早起来在那里筑了一座祭坛，献上燔祭和平安祭。他们彼此议论说：“我们到米斯巴聚集在耶和华面前的时候，各支派中谁没有来呢？”原来，他们曾经起誓说：凡不到米斯巴聚集在耶和华面前的人都要被处死。

“以色列的首领身先士卒，民众前仆后继，你们要赞美耶和华！

以色列人强盛时，就强迫他们服劳役，却没有全部赶走他们。

祂是为我申冤的上帝，祂使列邦臣服于我。

约拿单没有听见他父亲叫以色列人起誓，他伸出手中的杖蘸蜂房的蜜吃，立刻精神大振。有个士兵告诉约拿单，说：“你父亲曾叫众人郑重起誓，‘今天吃东西的人必受咒诅。’所以大家很疲惫。”约拿单说：“我父亲使大家受苦了。你看，我只吃了少许蜂蜜，就精神大振，如果大家吃了从敌人那里夺来的食物，我们就会歼灭更多的非利士人。”

如果有人不爱主，这人可咒可诅！主啊，我愿你来！

凡永远献上的人不可被赎回，必须被处死。

以色列人向耶和华许愿说：“要是你将这些人交在我们手中，我们必彻底摧毁他们的城邑。”

要把这座城和城里所有的东西毁灭，作为献给耶和华之物。只有妓女喇合和她家中所有的人可以活命，因为她曾把我们派去的探子隐藏起来。你们要小心，不可私拿任何应当毁灭的东西，免得你们自取灭亡，并给以色列全营带来灾祸。要把所有的金银和铜铁器皿分别出来献给耶和华，放进耶和华的库房里。”

他向耶和华许愿说：“如果你把亚扪人交在我手中，让我凯旋而归，第一个从我家门出来迎接我的人必归给你，我必把他献给你作燔祭。”
