Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God.”( At that time it was with the Israelites.)

Saul told Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God,” for it was with the Israelites at that time.

Then Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God here.” For at that time the ark of God was with the sons of Israel.

And Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring the ark of God here”( for at that time the ark of God was with the children of Israel).

And Saul said unto Ahijah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was there at that time with the children of Israel.

And Saul said unto Ahiah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was at that time with the children of Israel.

So Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring near the ephod,” for he was at that time wearing the ephod.

Saul said to Ahijah,“ Bring God’s ark here.” For God’s ark was with the children of Israel at that time.

David said to Abiathar the priest, son of Ahimelech,“ Bring me the ephod.” So Abiathar brought it to him,and David asked the Lord:“ Should I pursue these raiders? Will I overtake them?” The Lord replied to him,“ Pursue them, for you will certainly overtake them and rescue the people.”

So the men of Kiriath-jearim came for the ark of the Lord and took it to Abinadab’s house on the hill. They consecrated his son Eleazar to take care of it.

They set out, went to Bethel, and inquired of God. The Israelites asked,“ Who is to go first to fight for us against the Benjaminites?” And the Lord answered,“ Judah will be first.”

They went up, wept before the Lord until evening, and inquired of Him:“ Should we again fight against our brothers the Benjaminites?” And the Lord answered:“ Fight against them.”

Uriah answered David,“ The ark, Israel, and Judah are dwelling in tents, and my master Joab and his soldiers are camping in the open field. How can I enter my house to eat and drink and sleep with my wife? As surely as you live and by your life, I will not do this!”

Then the Israelites inquired of the Lord. In those days, the ark of the covenant of God was there,and Phinehas son of Eleazar, son of Aaron, was serving before it. The Israelites asked:“ Should we again fight against our brothers the Benjaminites or should we stop?” The Lord answered:“ Fight, because I will hand them over to you tomorrow.”

When the troops returned to the camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord let us be defeated today by the Philistines? Let’s bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh. Then it will go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”So the people sent men to Shiloh to bring back the ark of the covenant of the Lord of Hosts, who dwells between the cherubim. Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.When the ark of the covenant of the Lord entered the camp, all the Israelites raised such a loud shout that the ground shook.
