So he said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering.

So Saul said,“ Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings.” And he offered the burnt offering.

So he demanded,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings!” And Saul sacrificed the burnt offering himself.

So Saul said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” Then he offered the burnt offering.

基遍有崇邱、更播聲聞、王往彼獻牲畜一千、以為燔祭。

爾之燔祭、祀品、所應輸之什一、所奉獻許願樂輸之禮物、及牛羊首生之牡者、俱必攜之至彼、

在彼築壇、奉事耶和華、獻燔祭及酬恩之祭於上、耶和華允所祈、恤其國民、瘟疫止息、不染於以色列族地。

惟耶和華是賴、望其庇佑兮、惡者亨通、謀為得成、爾心毋為不平兮。

斯時也、上帝之匱在以色列族中、掃羅使亞希亞舁匱而至。

所應滅之牛羊、民簡其佳者、欲在吉甲祭爾之上帝耶和華。撒母耳曰、耶和華豈以燔祭禮物為喜、不以聽從其命為喜乎。夫聽命較獻祭尤善、遵言較羊脂愈美。

惡人之祭、為耶和華所疾、善人之祈、為主所悅。

大公是秉、愈於獻祭、耶和華所悅。

竊意非利士人必至吉甲、攻擊我眾、而我未禱耶和華、故我從權、而獻燔祭。撒母耳曰、爾所為者、違耶和華命、不智孰甚。昔耶和華欲立爾為以色列族王、永爾國祚、

彼縱私心、以何惡之事為悅、故宰牛刲羊、與殺人斬犬無異、獻禮焚香與塗豕血、祈偶像無異。

惡人之祭且不納、況以詭譎之心獻禮物乎。

毋以惡報惡、望耶和華救我。
