And Saul said, Bring hither the burnt- offering to me, and the peace- offerings. And he offered the burnt- offering.

掃羅曰、攜燔祭及酬恩祭至此、遂獻燔祭、

則曰、當攜燔祭、及酬恩祭至此。掃羅獻之。

掃羅曰、以火焚祭與平安祭之犧牲、牽至我前、掃羅遂獻火焚祭、

So he said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” And Saul offered up the burnt offering.

So he said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the friendship offerings.” Then he offered up the burnt offering.

So Saul said,“ Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings.” And he offered the burnt offering.

So he demanded,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings!” And Saul sacrificed the burnt offering himself.

So Saul said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” Then he offered the burnt offering.

So Saul said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings.” And he offered the burnt offering.

So Saul said,“ Bring a burnt offering and peace offerings here to me.” And he offered the burnt offering.

So Saul said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the fellowship offerings.” Then he offered the burnt offering.

And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering.

So Saul said,“ Bring me the burnt offering and the peace offerings.” Then he offered a burnt offering.

Saul said,“ Bring the burnt offering to me here, and the peace offerings.” He offered the burnt offering.

And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt- offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.

and thither ye shall bring your burnt- offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave- offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill- offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock:

And David built there an altar unto Jehovah, and offered burnt- offerings and peace- offerings. So Jehovah was entreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.

Rest in Jehovah, and wait patiently for him: Fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, Because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

And Saul said unto Ahijah, Bring hither the ark of God. For the ark of God was there at that time with the children of Israel.

But the people took of the spoil, sheep and oxen, the chief of the devoted things, to sacrifice unto Jehovah thy God in Gilgal.And Samuel said, Hath Jehovah as great delight in burnt- offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to Jehovah; But the prayer of the upright is his delight.

To do righteousness and justice Is more acceptable to Jehovah than sacrifice.

therefore said I, Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favor of Jehovah: I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt- offering.And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.

He that killeth an ox is as he that slayeth a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as he that breaketh a dog’s neck; he that offereth an oblation, as he that offereth swine’s blood; he that burneth frankincense, as he that blesseth an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations:

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination; How much more, when he bringeth it with a wicked mind!

Say not thou, I will recompense evil: Wait for Jehovah, and he will save thee.
